Student answer (Band 5.5)
The question of whether great solution to offering required space for the home in metropolitan cities is to constructing vertically building blocks whether this approch is justified remains controversial. I agree with this idea with great extent , primarily because of its profound social and practical implication. my opinion will be discussed with valid reason and appropriate examples.
Initially, i agree with this to a large extent because high rise building can reduse congesion. this result in citizenss having more space and greater satisfaction with their homes. This demonstrates the strong connection between people's housing desire and their quality of life. For instance people living in tall apartments can enjoy fewer physical restrictions and better views of the city.
Furthermore, an additional persuasive argument is that residents can experience a calmer environment away from traffic and noice. As a result they feel less irritate, concentrate more effectively and enjoy fresh air. Although high rise building can create concreate dominated landscapes, they can also preserv fertile land for agriculture purpose. This veiwpoint is strengthened by the fact that it helps preserve ecosystem and reduce environmental damage.
Nevertheless, some individuals argue that high rise buildings may create difficulties when transporting house hold items, commuting for elderly people, and accommodating people who are afraid of hights. While this opinion is understandable, it is less convincing because of modern technology and commuting sevices.
In conclusion, i strongly believe that metropolitan cities should supported to manufacturing high rise building towers with a large extent, as the arguments supporting my stance that are more substancial and evidence based.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments are relevant, such as the benefits of high-rise buildings for land preservation and the counter-argument regarding accessibility. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about 'modern technology' addressing accessibility issues is mentioned but not explained in sufficient detail. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your supporting points with more specific examples or deeper analysis to ensure the argument is fully developed rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'Furthermore', 'Nevertheless', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear or awkward, such as 'this result in citizenss having more space'. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'concreate' instead of 'concrete', 'noice' for 'noise', and 'hights' for 'heights'. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'metropolitan' and 'ecosystem', but the range is somewhat limited. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using the correct word forms. The repetition of basic phrases also limits the score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are persistent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'should supported to manufacturing' (incorrect verb form) and 'my opinion will be discussed with valid reason' (missing article). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
