Student answer (Band 5.5)
The best way to build adequate homes in metropolitan is to build tall houses. I totally agree with this statement, it because it create space and its inexpensive.
Reduction in housing crisis is one of the significant reason for construction of tall apartments. Constructing of tall buildings create more homes for resident and reduces housing crisis. For instance, in a plot of land where resident can build just one house with a four bedroom, that same land can also contain 10 times the number of the apartment built in that plot, and this is one of the basic ways of resolving housing crisis and reducing government expenditure. in addition, it creates free flow of oxygen cause of the space and less populated environment.
Tall apartments are inexpensive. Construction of tall homes are less expensive to acquire or to rent, cause most of the most activities needed to pay for will building solo homes are minimize and shared between the resident of a tall apartment. For example, owning a personal home individuals are experted to pay for the particular land and most individual involve themselves in loan activities. In tall homes all of that are minimize and shared among individual in the building and will this resident can save a lot of money and leave comfortable. Furthermore, it is more safe to live because in time of emergencies the are more resident to offer assitance.
To sum up, tall apartment are beneficial, because it reduces housing crisis and it is inexpensive to acquire. And i strongly agree with this statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The ideas presented, such as space efficiency and cost-effectiveness, are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the claim that tall buildings create a 'free flow of oxygen' is scientifically questionable and lacks logical support. Furthermore, the argument regarding safety during emergencies is underdeveloped and lacks a clear connection to the benefits of high-rise living. To improve, you should focus on providing more nuanced, realistic arguments and ensuring that your supporting examples are logically sound and directly address the prompt's core requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'in addition' is used, but the subsequent point about oxygen flow is weakly linked to the previous paragraph. There are also issues with referencing; the phrase 'all of that are minimize' is unclear in its reference. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly within the second paragraph. To reach a higher band, you should work on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'build tall houses' (instead of 'high-rise buildings'), 'resident' used as a plural noun without an 's', and 'experted to pay' (likely meaning 'expected'). The repetition of basic terms like 'tall apartments' and 'housing crisis' limits the lexical variety. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to urban planning and housing, and pay closer attention to word forms and pluralization.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it create space', 'tall apartments are... it reduces'), incorrect verb forms ('are experted to pay', 'will building'), and missing articles. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often marred by errors, such as 'in a plot of land where resident can build just one house... that same land can also contain 10 times the number of the apartment'. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural nouns, before attempting more complex structures.
