Student answer (Band 5.0)
The topic is about the best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to bulid tall apartment blocks, or i agree with this topic.
It is always a popular and a common topic to discuss .many people have different thought on this . Some people think that those buildigs are populate the cities or there is many reason from different different people . But me personally totally agree with this statement.
By build those tall appanrtment blocks it is possible to live so many people in such a small place and also have there private space. In cities nowadays population are gradually increased over the time . It is not possible to make separate home for each people .It will take soo much space or area which is not possible i think . Thats why i agree that for enough home it is important to build tall apartment blocks.
Here another reason is peoples are also live with such a short distance that they can help each other and can spent time together . It is the best way to prvide home

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 184 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks, the arguments provided are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention population growth and social benefits, but these points lack specific examples or detailed reasoning to fully support your stance. To improve, you must expand your arguments with concrete evidence or logical explanations and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by the lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between ideas are often missing or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'it is' and 'there is'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing is somewhat arbitrary. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to connect your sentences and paragraphs more effectively. Improving the logical progression of your arguments will help the reader follow your line of reasoning more easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, relying on basic words like 'topic', 'people', and 'good'. There are several spelling errors, such as 'bulid', 'buildigs', 'appanrtment', and 'prvide'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To achieve a higher band score, you should aim to use more precise and varied vocabulary related to urban planning and housing. For example, instead of 'make separate home', you could use 'construct individual residential units'. Expanding your lexical range will help you convey your arguments with greater sophistication and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'population are gradually increased'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'there is many reason'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and pluralization. Additionally, try to incorporate a mix of complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, while ensuring they are grammatically accurate. Proofreading for common errors will also help improve your overall accuracy.
