Student answer (Band 5.5)
Undoubtedly the increase demand for housing is an challange in this modren era. There is an ongoing debate that this issue is only resolve by tall apartments. I completely agree with this statement.
Certainly, protagonists emphasize that multi story buildings occupy less land. In populated countries there is already lack of space in terms of living condition. By introducing apartments there is always room for more. Although individual houses are conventional choice but these apartment offer more space for increasing population. If the families living in multistory apartment buy individual house there will defenitely be housing shortage in metro cities.
Additionally, apartments encourage conservation of flaura and fauna because wethere there are plants in each flat or not. But each society has its own park. Furthermore, these building has many amenitie including in house gym facilities or grocery stores which reduce carbon emission of vehicles for daily activities like shopping or exercising.
To sum up, I believe that associative and constructive steps should be taken by goverment to build more apartments in metro cities so that housing shortage will be avoided in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 183 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack sufficient supporting examples or depth. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting points regarding land use and amenities are underdeveloped. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with specific examples, data, or logical consequences to meet the length requirement and provide a more thorough exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Certainly,' 'Additionally,' and 'To sum up.' However, the logical progression is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and limited development. The transition between the idea of 'flora and fauna' and 'amenities' is somewhat abrupt. While the paragraphing is present, the lack of length prevents the development of a more sophisticated flow of ideas. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, well-supported topic sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'challange,' 'modren,' 'flaura,' 'wethere,' and 'defenitely.' Additionally, some word choices are imprecise, such as 'associative' in the conclusion. To reach a higher band, you should focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and housing policy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the increase demand' (should be 'increased'), 'this issue is only resolve' (should be 'resolved'), and 'these building has' (should be 'these buildings have'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, you should practice proofreading your work to catch basic errors and aim to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
