Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, due to urbanization it's difficult how to manage individuals living apartments. I agree with the way to providing homes as the form of apartment is good way. Because in this process people's houses will be mange into different communities. Therefore manage other basic facilities are provided by the community owner's.

Apartment usually covered much houses and maintain the quality of living. For incent in many countries specially in urban areas build special apartments. Most of people live in their convenient apartments.

I also agree with this idea of tall apartment because that have enough space to having various living areas. Such as luxgerious apartments provided much more facilities for living as well as enjoy and entertainment halls.

On the other hands, according to situation I totally disagree with tall apartments due to miss management of apartments. If the location as well as other relying resources may never support to build tall apartments.

However, some people stay with tall apartment block and also support build more for the seek off flex. They forget about the condition of apartments.

I also totally disagree with building large residence due to weather prediction. Hight level of earthquake maybe make negative impact in future. Many globelly earthquake examples are far. Large apartments blocks may mange huge population but if the map not according to the save earthquake may have more dangerouse.

To sum up, build tall apartment blocks is good way to manage hug population but due to changing in weather and environmental in future maybe never save.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of tall apartment blocks. However, the position is inconsistent; the writer states they agree with the idea, then later states they 'totally disagree' with it. This lack of a clear, sustained position makes it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. While some relevant ideas are presented, such as community facilities and earthquake risks, they are under-developed and lack specific, logical support. The essay touches on the topic but fails to provide a cohesive argument, resulting in a fragmented response that does not fully meet the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is weak. Transitions between sentences and paragraphs are often mechanical or confusing, such as the abrupt shift from agreeing to disagreeing in the fourth paragraph. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often inaccurate or misused, such as 'For incent' (presumably meaning 'For instance') and 'On the other hands'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the writer's train of thought. Overall, the structure lacks the necessary flow to be considered coherent at a higher level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There are several instances of non-standard word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'mange' instead of 'manage', 'luxgerious' (luxurious), and 'seek off flex' (likely meaning 'sake of flexibility'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. While the writer attempts to use some topic-specific terms like 'urbanization' and 'population', the frequent spelling errors and misuse of basic terminology significantly lower the quality of the expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response relies on a limited range of sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('build special apartments'), missing articles, and subject-verb agreement errors ('that have enough space'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, and many sentences are poorly constructed, making them difficult to parse. While the meaning is generally discernible, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
