Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the benefits of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, you mention 'public transportation' and 'healthcare centers' as benefits, but you do not explain how tall buildings specifically facilitate these services compared to other housing models. The conclusion is somewhat redundant, merely restating points already made without synthesising the argument. To improve, focus on providing more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression within them is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'First of fall' (a misspelling of 'first of all') and 'In addition', their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'Its helps people can spend time to travellings there office', where the pronoun usage is confusing. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between ideas is abrupt, making the overall flow of the argument feel somewhat fragmented. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring clear topic sentences would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'good', 'very', and 'big'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'highest apartment buildings' instead of 'high-rise buildings' and 'leave in small area' instead of 'live in a small area'. You also struggle with word forms, such as using 'contrtriction' (construction) and 'parsons' (persons). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the persistent errors in spelling and word choice prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise, topic-specific terminology would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that affect readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('tall building can provide', 'its provide'), article usage ('in industrial are'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that make them difficult to parse, such as 'Its helps people can spend time to travellings there office'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
