Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes I completely agree with that idea tall building is the better way to provide a home. The reason is that highest apartment blocks give a less space and grow a crucial building. Many family members are live this home so I think its easy way to produce a new tall building because they build a long way , holding a new career like you have build a hostel , offices , some other small places and earn a money. In addition tall blocks are always provide a comfort, fresh air and you can see a whole city standing on your place.
Firstly I can explain my own experiences. Large areas like Islamabad, Lahore etc. These cities build a tall building for example hafiz canter its a huge building have many offices , shopping malls individuals create a many other things like earning and most people make some foods so that why I really appreciate the tall apartment in large cities I trust that its very amazing way to progress your country.
At the end , But I agree that have some benefits and disadvantage because everything have not perfect in the word. So they hold some consequences like if suddenly earthquake will come so its very harmful for the individuals and the other citizens but every thing will be left on Allah because he protect the whole world. However ,when you make a new building be careful for the products because one wrong way to destroy your all working.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. For instance, the argument that tall buildings 'grow a crucial building' or 'produce a new tall building' is vague and lacks logical explanation. The examples provided, such as 'hafiz canter', are not well-integrated or explained in relation to the prompt's focus on housing. The discussion of disadvantages is brief and relies on non-academic reasoning ('left on Allah'), which does not contribute to a balanced or well-supported argument. The essay lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'In addition', 'Firstly', and 'However', these are often used mechanically or incorrectly. The referencing is frequently unclear, such as in the phrase 'Many family members are live this home', where the connection between the subject and the context is lost. The transition between the benefits and the drawbacks is abrupt, and the overall flow of the argument is hindered by the lack of logical linking between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. The student struggles with basic collocations and word choice, such as 'earn a money' instead of 'earn money' or 'produce a new tall building' instead of 'construct high-rise buildings'. There are frequent errors in word form and usage, such as 'hafiz canter' (likely a proper noun used incorrectly) and 'everything have not perfect in the word'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the misuse of words occasionally impedes the reader's understanding of the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('tall building is the better way'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'Large areas like Islamabad, Lahore etc. These cities build a tall building for example hafiz canter its a huge building have many offices'. The use of complex structures is attempted but is almost always inaccurate, leading to confusion. Simple sentences are also prone to errors, which limits the overall control of grammar.
