Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, Urbanization is growing-up day-by-day therefore, the demand for apartments is also construction increasing. It is widely believe that tall apartments blocks is a significant way to provide residence in big city for a large number of people. I partly agree with this statement because both perspective have valid arguments.
The first reason I hold this opinion is that tall appartment blocks save land and cost because it leads to live people on a small land in huge quantity with the distribution of costs among all members. Furthermore, High-rise buildings at small piece of land assist to protect the nature because it will reduce the deforestation. for instance, In India, governments provide tall apartment blocks in mobile cities because of over-population.
Moreover, another compelling reason for my viewpoint is that there is a risk of privacy in overpopulate apartments as well as there will be risk for the infrastructure in high-rise buildings and medium-apartments provide more space. Along together, construct a tall-building can be very expensive and risk taking. for example, Sometime tall-building collapse due to
earthquake because of the narrow foundation.
Therefore, it can cause a threat of to
life for numerous people.
To sum up, one the one hand large apartments
provide a benefit to the no environment
but in contrast to that it can
create a huge dangner for the lives
of people and their privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the benefits and drawbacks of tall apartment blocks. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the position is clear, the arguments are somewhat superficial and lack the depth required for a higher band. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, you should expand on your examples and ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough explanation of the points raised to meet the length requirement and demonstrate a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Along together' and 'In contrast to that'. The progression of ideas is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the transition between the benefits of high-rise buildings and the risks associated with them. The paragraphing is present but could be more effectively managed to ensure a smoother flow of information. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help create a more cohesive and professional-sounding argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'growing-up day-by-day' instead of 'increasing urbanization' and 'mobile cities' which is unclear. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'appartment' and 'dangner'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of repetitive or incorrect word choices limit the score. Focusing on learning collocations and more academic synonyms will significantly enhance your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'It is widely believe that tall apartments blocks is' (subject-verb agreement) and 'there is a risk of privacy in overpopulate apartments' (incorrect word form). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences ending abruptly or missing necessary commas. While the intent is clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and sentence structure will be beneficial.
