Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention cost-effectiveness and community facilities, the arguments are not fully extended. For instance, the example regarding '80% of Bombay people' is anecdotal and lacks a clear link to the broader argument about urban planning. To improve, you should focus on providing more analytical depth rather than listing features like 'temple' or 'swimming pool'. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs. Ensure that each paragraph directly supports your central thesis with well-reasoned explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Unanimously, in this period of inflation' or 'supporting towards my view'. Some transitions are repetitive, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between security and living in buildings is somewhat disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow more naturally into one another without relying on repetitive introductory phrases.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic descriptors like 'big cities' and 'good way'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'supporting towards my agreement' and 'make a good contacts'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and occasional errors in word formation (e.g., '80% of Bombay people lives') limit the score. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to urban development and housing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('80% of Bombay people lives'), article usage ('in building there a good security'), and awkward phrasing ('if you buy a land and build in a house in that'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas and run-on sentences. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
