Student answer (Band 6.0)
Undoubtedly, it is true fact that population increase day by day and more people move to cities for better facilities. Some think that best solution in large cities is to built tall apartments blocks. From my perspective, built tall buildings for individuals in large cities have both advantages and disadvantages.
Multifarious points are there to shore up the benefits of building tall apartments in big cities. First and perhaps most notable one is that it cover less space for construction. In other words, it helps to building more homes in small area. For exomple, governments provide quater facilities to their employers. Apart from that, tall building cover less space to it provides space for parks and playground. Building tall apartment in cities help to save nature. For instance, if people built more houses in large area so it cut-down trees and pasts for construction it harms the environment. Tall building is eco-friendly and provide safety and security.
Despite having a plethora of positive aspects some outcoming too. First and foremost, it is more danger during the time of natural disaster. To be more clear, tall building is not safe during the time of earthquake because tall building fall down and effect the millions of people life. Apart from that tall buildings are not suitable for older citizens and children because they are more dependent of other family member.
To conclude, in the view of above mentioned points, it is quite evident that tall apartments are best way to provide accommodation to people in large cities because it cover less space and provide more security, safety and eco-friendly. However, tall building is not suitable for children and elderly people because they are not able to up and down daily so i think they rely on other family person.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument regarding tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention space efficiency and environmental benefits, the points are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the argument about 'safety and security' is mentioned but not explained. The conclusion clearly states a position, but the supporting arguments in the body paragraphs are somewhat superficial. To improve, ensure that each main idea is supported by a clear, well-developed explanation or a more specific example rather than just stating the point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'First and perhaps most notable', 'Apart from that', and 'To conclude'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To be more clear' or 'in the view of above mentioned points'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'it', 'they') is always clear will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'multifarious', 'accommodation', and 'eco-friendly'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'true fact', 'shore up the benefits', and 'quater facilities'. Some phrases are also repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'tall building' and 'large cities'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and collocations that sound natural in an academic context, and try to avoid repeating the same basic nouns and verbs throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it cover less space', 'tall building fall down'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'to be built' instead of 'to build'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb tenses are used consistently throughout your writing.
