Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a growth debate over whether building tall apartments in large cities in order to provide the best support for the population. I strongly agree with this trend because can provide a better home-setting management and might allocated effectively large amounts of families.
On the one hand, implement effective policies for house managment its primordial for population's well-being. As societies kept increasing their numebers, the more residential places they need. Governments should be implementing effective residential policies in order to effectively managed urban spaces and be able to build residential places. For example, several cities in Europe have experienced an increment on their population due to the worldwide widespread migration. As a consequence, local authorities have built on top of their current homes which has significantly improved their population's space.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to develop ideas. While you state a clear position, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. The response stops abruptly after only two short paragraphs, failing to address the complexity of the prompt. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples and ensure you meet the word count to allow for a full discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using transition signals like 'On the one hand' and 'As a consequence'. However, the progression of ideas is limited by the brevity of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of a conclusion or a balanced discussion makes the overall structure feel incomplete. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you use a wider variety of cohesive devices to link your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'growth debate' instead of 'growing debate' and 'house managment' (spelling). Phrases like 'primordial for' are used somewhat awkwardly in this context. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'can provide a better home-setting management' (missing subject) and 'might allocated effectively' (incorrect verb form). There is a limited range of sentence structures, and the errors in subject-verb agreement and tense usage are noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
