Student answer (Band 5.5)

The best effective approach to give sufficient amount of homes in an urbanization area to build substantial apartmemt blocks. I strongly agree with this given statement and my views will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with suitable conclusion.

To begin with, why government has to create apartments for general public. The first significant factor is better urban planning. To explain, as if legal authorities build large buildings in smaller cities, it will help to decline the whole population in a particular provinces of the city. They can build small small apartments of blocks where huge amount of people can easily live,go to jobs, schools and many more.It not only develops smaller cities but also expands residential areas around major cities, thereby reducing pressure on large urban centres. For instance, indian government can make smaller portion of homes in one big aprtment near big cities such as banglore, mumbai, delhi and many more that they can easy acces from there nearby cities effortlessily.

Furthermore, save limited land and accommodate more.To justify, government can utilise tiny portion of the land and make the distinct large large buildings vertically which save the land more, due to mostly people can live in a different apartments with their families, which overall saves the large amount of land likewise accommodate thousand of families in one building rather than making the homes distinguishly.ne clear example is that in countries such as Canada, America and the UK, many people live in apartments, which consequently saves land.

In conclusion, building tall apartment blocks can provide sufficient housing while making better use of limited land.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention urban planning and land conservation, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the explanation regarding 'small small apartments' and 'huge amount of people' is vague. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, well-reasoned arguments rather than repeating the same points about saving land. The examples provided, such as mentioning Canada and the UK, are relevant but could be more effectively integrated to support your claims rather than just being listed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical use of cohesive devices. For example, 'To justify' and 'To explain' are used as transition markers, but they do not always lead to a logical flow of ideas. Some sentences are disjointed, such as 'Furthermore, save limited land and accommodate more.' The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument's development. More variety in linking words and better sentence-to-sentence connection would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices and repetitive phrasing, such as 'small small' and 'large large'. Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'apartmemt', 'aprtment', and 'banglore'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'urbanization' and 'residential areas', the overall control is inconsistent. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring correct spelling of key terms related to urban development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'why government has to create'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'as if legal authorities build large buildings... it will help to decline the whole population'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence structure and proofreading for grammatical accuracy would be highly beneficial.
