Student answer (Band 6.0)
In large cities, it is better to construct tall apartment blocks in order to provide required number of home to the people. In my opinion, building homes in such a design will save environment, additionally benefits the people by the construction of required facilities like playground and parks.
A good reason is in this contemporary society, it is prevalent that most of the ground spaces in the metropolitan cities are filled with houses and other institutions. Furthermore, there is no playground for the recreational activities of children and it was seen that senior citizens have no space to gather together. Accommodating homes in tall apartments benefits in the implementation of certain facilities which improve the well being of such a category of people. In addition, it will be beneficial to reduce environmental destruction and exploitation. A best example for this is the recent study conducted in the large cities proved that, almost 85% of the natural resources are extensively exploited over the period of construction work. Moreover, numerous number of water bodies and fields are filled for a constructional site in turn affect the natural habitat of several organisms. All of these complex issues can be solved effectively by designing a plan adding a significant number of apartments in one single building which leads to mitigation of environmental problems as well as pave way for other advantageous facilities like park, garden and playground which improve the community living among the people in large cities. Evidence of such activities are illustrious in all over the world. For example construction of greenhouse and bio waste recycling plants in various parts Asia are notable positive innovations.
In conclusion, such new establishment like including enough home is a thoughtful idea benefits both environment as well as for society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. The ideas regarding environmental preservation and the creation of community spaces are relevant. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the environmental argument is supported by a specific statistic, the explanation of how tall buildings facilitate community spaces is a bit vague. The conclusion is quite brief and does not fully summarize the main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough explanation of the 'how' and 'why' behind your claims, and ensure the conclusion reflects the depth of the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'In addition', and 'For example' are used to link sentences and ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'A good reason is in this contemporary society'. The referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the environmental argument and the community space argument could be smoother. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring they are used more naturally would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinions clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'prevalent', 'mitigation', and 'illustrious'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'constructional site' instead of 'construction site', and 'numerous number of' which is redundant. Additionally, 'illustrious' is used incorrectly in this context, as it usually refers to people. Focusing on more precise collocations and avoiding redundant phrasing will help improve the lexical range and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include missing articles ('provide required number of home'), subject-verb agreement issues ('study... proved that'), and awkward phrasing ('such new establishment like including enough home'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be beneficial.
