Student answer (Band 5.0)

The good procedure to provide sufficient houses in substantial cities is big tall building I partially agree with that because if it happens then then large infrastructure is developed, but also there is big loss in the local manufacture department. As these points require prudent elaboration, let us delve deeper into the impending paragraph

To begin with, there is primary reason to make tall buildings in the form of the large cities is that it may helps us to develop the better infrastructure. To elucidate, when we construct tall buildings then we develop the map our city it helps us to make big business although it also becomes the main attraction of the tourists which gave us large revenue in this way the basic expenditure of the city is developed. To illustrate, M.S katherine viner conducted a survey and got the result that 92% of the cities are made by tall buildings which helps them to grown their business market

On the contrast, there is many cons of tall buildings made in the cities. firstly, it may contains much higher cost to execute the actual project the city to elaborate, when the new city is made then government set a proper cost in it as from me, i assert that it contains much more investment and we complete the entire funds in many years which is not a good business for us because every newly constructed things take time to work T cite an example, oxford university in 2006 observed that tall buildings contains 50% funds and only gave back half of them.

To encapsulate it, concluded that tall buildings provides good business although it contains much higher cost

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a partial agreement, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. While you mention infrastructure and economic factors, the arguments lack logical depth and specific, relevant examples. The reference to 'M.S katherine viner' and an 'Oxford University' study appears fabricated and does not effectively support the argument. The position is stated in the introduction but is not consistently maintained or explored throughout the body paragraphs. To improve, focus on providing clear, logical reasons that directly relate to the housing crisis in cities rather than general business or revenue points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'To begin with', 'On the contrast', 'To encapsulate'), they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'big', 'good', and 'made'. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'local manufacture department' and 'complete the entire funds'. Some phrases are used incorrectly, which occasionally impedes the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary that is more precise and appropriate for an academic context, and pay closer attention to how words collocate naturally in English.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('it may helps', 'buildings contains'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often inaccurate, which can make the text difficult to read. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the lack of commas to separate clauses. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
