Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in favor of tall apartment blocks, the arguments remain underdeveloped. For instance, the point about 'green-land' is mentioned but not explained in a way that demonstrates how high-density living actually preserves space. The examples provided, such as Shenzhen and London, are relevant but lack sufficient detail to fully support your position. To improve, you must expand on your reasoning and provide more depth to your examples to ensure the task is fully addressed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'On the other hand' is used to introduce a point that supports the same side of the argument rather than a contrasting one. Additionally, some sentences lack logical flow, such as 'It effect on the economy of the UK,' which feels disconnected from the previous sentence. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help create a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'high-top apartments,' 'high-ted colonies,' and 'short range place.' These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and academic vocabulary. For example, instead of 'huge apartments blocks,' use 'high-density residential developments.' Expanding your range of synonyms and practicing correct word forms will significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the readability of the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Many people tends to believe'), article usage ('the land of city'), and sentence structure ('the construction of the huge apartments blocks is use a home'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with subjects and that articles are used correctly.
