Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is ongoing debate on build tall apartment blocks would be a best way to provide enough homes in big cities. I firmly disagree with this statement, as it could enhance the traffic and reduces other activity grounds for children's.
At first, tall buildings create massive traffic problems for society as excessive number of people’s live there and most of them have a transport to travel to other areas. Other then that it reduces the air circulation for those who lives in a part or in bungalow’s For instance, children and adults are going to park to play some and grab some fresh air and tall apartments may snatching the facilities out. Therefore, tall buildings make excessive traffics in a society.
On the other hand there are lot of facilities are there without a tall building like if someone live in a bungalow's they might have the opportunity to make garden for there children’s and themselves moreover they build play activities in their home then an apartment. Such as, they don’t have the freedom to even setup solar panels to their apartments because of the traffic they need permissions to all the society if they are agree or not. So, tall building creates lot of pressure for people who don’t have the right position.
In conclusion, there’s a reason that I disagree with the statement that the current system of apartments is not working properly and it affects everyone living beside the tall building and specially for that who lives in bungalows nearby.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. The arguments regarding traffic and the loss of green space are relevant but lack depth or specific examples. The reasoning is occasionally unclear, such as the point about solar panels and 'right position,' which does not clearly support the main argument against high-rise living. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and perhaps consider counter-arguments more effectively to demonstrate a more balanced or nuanced perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between and within them is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'At first,' 'On the other hand,' 'In conclusion'), they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The referencing is occasionally confusing, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between traffic and the inability to install solar panels is not logically connected. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear progression of ideas, making the argument feel somewhat fragmented.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'activity grounds,' 'snatching the facilities out,' and 'make excessive traffics.' The use of 'bungalow's' and 'children's' shows a misunderstanding of pluralization versus possession. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent the essay from achieving a higher score. You need to focus on using more academic collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of them have a transport,' 'tall building creates'), incorrect pluralization (e.g., 'bungalow's'), and sentence structure. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, leading to run-on sentences or awkward phrasing. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the misuse of apostrophes. While simple sentences are generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures limits the score significantly.
