Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is irrefutable fact that, people are migrates towards urban areas because of advance facilities. On that note, the greatest path to priorities accommodation in huge cities is to construct big apartments. I agree with the aforementioned notion and the reasons for my inclination have been articulated in further paragraphs.
There are several reasons why I supported this viewpoint. The first and foremost reason is, it helps to protect environment from global warming. in other words, to construct raw houses need more space and because of that people cutting trees. If people can adopt this technique, then it saves trees, which reduce harmful effect of global warming. Another striking reason is, to use this place as agriculture yields. For example, builders make a huge building, which beneficial for cereals and crops production because it is the basic necessity of humankind. Therefore, it is advantageous.
On the other hand, some individuals do not believe this phenomenon due to some reasons. In addition to that, there are limited space in tall apartment. To exemplify, some individuals want to install amenities such as gym machines and luxuries items, which need more space, so it has an impact on their way of living. Furthermore, it may have a risk of collapsed during natural disasters. As many people is afraid of it and they preferred to live in raw houses.
To conclude, even though some people assert that it has a detrimental effect on the way they live, I firmly agree that it has a numerous benefit, such as used as agriculture yield and protect environment from global warming.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'agriculture yields' is underdeveloped and lacks a logical connection to high-rise living, as tall buildings generally occupy a small footprint rather than creating farmland. The points regarding environmental protection and the risks of natural disasters are relevant but could be expanded with more specific reasoning or examples. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments lack the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'On that note' in the introduction. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The structure is logical, but the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'migrates towards' instead of 'migrating towards', 'raw houses' instead of 'low-rise houses' or 'detached houses', and 'luxuries items' instead of 'luxury items'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and the student relies on basic phrasing. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary appropriate for an essay format rather than repetitive or slightly inaccurate terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people is afraid', 'there are limited space'), incorrect verb forms ('people are migrates'), and awkward phrasing ('it may have a risk of collapsed'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization after periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to sentence construction and proofreading is necessary.
