Student answer (Band 5.5)
The best method to provide sufficient accommodation in large cities is to construct high rise building apartments. I am firmly convicted that the tall building apartments is the finest possible solution to provide enough accommodations; however, small buildings also posses the potential to accommodate with feasibility.
The large number of populations in cities require many accommodations which can be accomplished by building high rise buildings accommodating hundreds of families minimizing the land space occupancy. These buildings sometimes posses markets and malls in their lower floors and sometimes with discounts for the building members making it more feasible. The free parking facilities in these buildings shines property management. These apartments usually have beautiful views from their windows which contributes to attracting living space. For example, the Centaurus Mall apartments have enough space to adjust whole F-6 sector population with the beautiful Margalla Hill views, the parking and shopping facilities.
On the other hand, small building accommodations are more feasible with respect to management, privacy and security; therefore, people also prefer to live in these building apartments. These apartments are located in secured societies providing apartment block accommodations along with parking, amusement, and park facilities. These reasons make possible the maximum accommodation as well as management and security requirements. For an instance, small building apartment flats in E-11 provide all above discussed facilities. The apartment blocks in DHA and Bahria society are also feasible in terms of family living.
The most feasible way to accommodate maximum population can be to build tall apartment blocks; the importance of the small building flats cannot be ignored as they provide living space with more feasible environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a position, though the argument is somewhat contradictory. You state you are 'firmly convicted' that tall buildings are the finest solution, yet you spend a significant portion of the essay arguing for the benefits of small buildings, which weakens your overall stance. While you provide relevant examples like the Centaurus Mall and E-11, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. To improve, ensure your supporting points consistently reinforce your main thesis rather than undermining it. The conclusion attempts to restate your position, but the overall argument lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'For example' to link your points. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'these reasons make possible the maximum accommodation'. The relationship between the ideas in the second and third paragraphs could be more tightly managed to ensure a smoother flow of argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'convicted' (instead of 'convinced'), 'posses' (spelling error for 'possess'), and 'shines property management' (which is unclear and non-idiomatic). You rely on repetitive phrasing like 'accommodations' and 'feasible'. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that your word choices are contextually accurate. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'the tall building apartments is' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'the large number of populations' (incorrect noun usage). There are also issues with article usage and prepositional phrases, such as 'accommodate with feasibility'. While your meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately.
