Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the advancemnt of home manufacturing industry, the best way is to offer maximum homes by tall residential bulding with home facilities in cities. I totaly agreed with this statment.

Recently popolation is increasing rapidly and demand for home are incraeasing also. To full fill the high demand of home residential tall buildings are very excelent option because this way provide the many home in very small land. For example if we can just build 3-5 villas in 10,000 square feet land but if we build 30 story building which can provide [redacted phone] appartments. S this provide the maximum homes with small part of land.

B. Moreover this way is economical very benificial such as we can save land and used this land for agriculture bussiness cost of matrial such for such 180 home we need lost of road, drange system wich consume very much construction matrial. so this way alsosave lot of money and this money can be use for industrial growth.

Similary, it this advancment also save our time and reduce poplution for example if somene need to go to job if the town is very large and it i must taht his work place willbe very far, so he/she definitly need lot time to raeach at work place. it alsoreduce polution and trafic blockadge by reduction trafic routes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the argument regarding land efficiency is relevant, the ideas are presented in a somewhat simplistic manner. The conclusion is incomplete, consisting only of the word 'Con.', which indicates a failure to properly conclude the essay. Due to the under-length and the lack of a proper conclusion, the development of ideas is insufficient to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'Similarly', but these are often used incorrectly or in a mechanical fashion. Paragraphing is present, but the structure is weak, particularly with the abrupt and unfinished ending. The progression of ideas is sometimes difficult to follow due to the fragmented nature of the sentences and the lack of logical flow between the arguments provided. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it challenging for the reader to track the development of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'advancemnt', 'popolation', 'incraeasing', 'appartments', and 'drange'. These errors, combined with the limited range of vocabulary, make the writing feel basic. The student struggles to use precise terminology related to urban planning or construction, relying on simple phrases like 'home manufacturing industry' or 'very excelent option'. To improve, the student needs to focus on accurate spelling and expanding their range of topic-specific vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'demand for home are incraeasing' and 'this way provide the many home' show a lack of control over basic grammar. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with run-on sentences and missing commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors throughout the text significantly impacts the clarity and professional tone of the writing.
