Student answer (Band 5.5)
The unparallel significance of residence in countryside can not be refuted as it has close relevance to every ones life. It is largely contended that the excellent way to provide enough residence in large cities is to construct tall buildings.
I totally agree with this statement mainly because it has multiple benefits.
First of all, enough space for living is essential for cities with large number of population. One major reason is that, the only way to provide such massive amount of space for living purposes is to built tall buildings and apartments with several facilities for the public. Mainly because in these tall building numerous families can live under one roof, there is plenty of space of them to cover their heads not only that sperate homes in large cities are quite expensive in compare to apartments.
Another important factor is the surface area might be is relativetly small but there are multiple stories of the single apartment which significantly result the living for thousand of people. Moreover, apartment blocks are much more safer then any private space. people can easily adjust there. For instance, cities like London, there are thousands of multi story apartments for millions of residence from inside

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the arguments remain underdeveloped and repetitive. For example, you mention that tall buildings provide space for many families, but you do not expand on the socio-economic or urban planning implications. The essay lacks a concluding paragraph, which is essential for a balanced response. To improve, you must extend your arguments with more specific examples and ensure you reach the required length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all' and 'Moreover', but the links between sentences are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For instance, the transition between the benefits of space and the safety of apartment blocks is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally confusing, such as the phrase 'there is plenty of space of them to cover their heads', which lacks clarity. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'unparallel significance' (likely meaning unparalleled) and 'in compare to' (should be 'compared to'). You also use repetitive language, such as 'space for living' and 'tall buildings'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development, such as 'high-density housing', 'urban sprawl', or 'infrastructure'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('there is plenty of space... there are multiple stories'), incorrect word forms ('much more safer'), and punctuation errors. For example, 'the surface area might be is relativetly small' is grammatically incorrect. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of complex sentence construction.
