Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 162 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain superficial and lack the necessary depth and supporting evidence required for a Band 7 or higher. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the points regarding 'beatification' (beautification) and social equality are underdeveloped. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with specific examples and detailed explanations to ensure the task is fully addressed. The current length limitation forces the response into a Band 5 category for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, which makes the progression of ideas difficult to follow. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'While', they are often used incorrectly or placed awkwardly, such as starting a sentence with 'While,' or 'Where as ,'. The lack of clear paragraphing—grouping all ideas into one block—prevents a logical flow. To improve, you should organize your essay into a clear introduction, two body paragraphs with distinct main ideas, and a conclusion. Using transition words more accurately will help guide the reader through your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and contains several inaccuracies that occasionally impede meaning. For example, you use 'congestation' instead of 'congestion' and 'beatification' when you likely meant 'beautification'. Phrases like 'keep fit their physical health' are unnatural. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'skyscrapers' and 'infrastructure', the overall range is restricted. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations (words that naturally go together) and ensure you are using precise terminology for the context of urban planning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('The Burj Khalifa build in Dubai'), sentence fragments, and incorrect word order. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly the misuse of commas and capitalization after periods. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when you attempt complex constructions. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for punctuation errors. Increasing your control over simple structures before moving to complex ones will help reduce the frequency of errors.
