Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are various best ways for providing enough homes in the large cities to build tall apartments blocks.

Population is increasing on daily according to the recent scientific reports. And people from urban areas migrates to the rural areas for the better Education and jobs to provide there family good food and a better lifestyle. And Due to these factors the large cities don't have enough homes and apartment for the people.

This approach is extremely useful for the people who want their own homes and apartments in the city. By building tall apartments in the city can provide enough homes to the people. Also this is a long term investment for them to secure their future and making enough property for their future generation as assets. So, these can help them in the future.

I totally agree with this idea to build tall apartments in the cities to provide enough homes to the people. Also in my perspective people who can't afford a whole apartment can rent an apartment to live their peacefully. Because it is not easy today to buy an apartment for everyone. By building tall apartment blocks can solve this problem also.

So, it is a extremely good idea to build tall apartment blocks. To provide enough homes to the people so they spend their life in those home peacefully. Large cities have these kind of large areas where they can build these apartment blocks for the people is a best solution to provide enough homes to the people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of tall apartment blocks. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention population growth and the need for housing, the arguments remain somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, you mention 'long term investment' and 'assets' as reasons, but these points are not fully explored in the context of urban planning or city infrastructure. To improve, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported argument rather than restating the same point about providing homes. The response is somewhat simplistic and lacks the analytical depth required for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between them is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as starting sentences with 'And' or 'So' repeatedly. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, 'these can help them in the future' lacks a specific antecedent. The flow of ideas feels disjointed because the transition between the problem (population growth) and the solution (tall buildings) is not smoothly connected. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrases like 'good food', 'better lifestyle', and 'extremely good idea'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'migrates to the rural areas' (the context implies migration to urban areas) and 'making enough property'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas precisely. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development, such as 'high-density housing', 'urban sprawl', or 'infrastructure development'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people... migrates'), incorrect preposition usage, and sentence fragments. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There are also errors with articles and pluralization, such as 'provide there family' (should be 'their') and 'apartment blocks' used inconsistently. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and practicing the use of complex sentences with subordinate clauses to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
