Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that enough space provided to their homes in large cities. I totally agree with this statement and provide my opinion and substitute my argument.
On the one hand, people need more space for their residencial plots, so that they can live comfortable life. Whereas, people who live in apartments have less space for live. Furthermore, tall buildings provides them enough space and good experience quality of life. In big cities like Delhi, Mumbai have large apartments with well manitained facilities. This will also reduce cost of infrastructure and burden of raw material that used in buildings. People who doing jobs in big cities face much difficulties regarding plots to construct their houses. In addition to this, tall buildings also provide more residence to people who live in big cities. People are not only get residence, they become economally stable. This leads to growth of developing country. If cost effective plots provided to emplooyees in big cities this also reduce their transportation growth.
In my opinion, people are true toward this topic because this give equal residence to people of same class off society. They can get at same palce, this also reduce burden of land, people who made different house for their families in big cities can live in same apartment.
In conclusion, although people have their distinct agrument regarding this topic.I however think that people should give priority to former view. Because this issue has several consequences with solution and they should more focus on equality and satbility.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance agreeing with the statement that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes in large cities. The writer attempts to support this position with arguments related to land usage, infrastructure costs, and quality of life. However, many of the ideas are underdeveloped, repetitive, and lack specific, well-reasoned elaboration. For instance, the claim that tall buildings reduce the burden of raw materials is stated without supporting explanation. Furthermore, some arguments become slightly confusing or contradictory, such as the discussion surrounding transportation growth and socioeconomic stability. Consequently, the response fulfills the basic requirements of the task and presents a clear position throughout, but the depth of argumentation and idea extension remain at a Band 5 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing a basic attempt at logical structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is hampered by frequent cohesive errors and mechanical transitions. Phrases such as 'On the one hand' are used inappropriately since the following sentence does not present a contrasting view ('Whereas...'). Additionally, referencing is frequently unclear, leaving pronouns and demonstrative determiners ambiguous, as seen in sentences like 'This leads to growth of developing country' and 'people are true toward this topic.' Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion and logical flow are disjointed, aligning the organization with the Band 5 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede understanding. Examples include 'residencial plots' instead of residential areas, 'experience quality of life' rather than experiencing a high quality of life, and 'economally stable' instead of economically stable. Words are also misspelled or misused, such as 'manitained' and 'emplooyees.' While the writer attempts some less common items like 'infrastructure' and 'transportation growth,' the numerous lexical errors and limited range restrict the score to a Band 4.5 or 5.0. Given that communication is partially achieved despite errors, a Band 5 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and prone to frequent errors when attempting complex constructions. There are numerous grammatical inaccuracies throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement errors ('tall buildings provides', 'tall buildings also provide'), missing articles ('enough space provided to their homes', 'reduce cost of infrastructure'), and awkward preposition use ('true toward this topic', 'at same palce'). Complex sentences are often faulty and cause strain for the reader. Because errors are very frequent and sometimes obscure the intended meaning, the grammatical profile fits the Band 4 descriptors.
