Student answer (Band 5.0)

I strongly agreed with the statement as the population is rising every year in the world, On the groundroot level goverment bodies should plan a strategy to build up tall buildings through out the cities to facilitate their people.

The first advatange for constructing the tallest buildings for the people in their own country is they can accomodate large number of people, those can easily live in the tall apartment blocks where easily large number of people shifted at one space, where previosuly only one house were constructed and only one family live there. The other advantage is that housing crises will be decreased through out the cities and less people will be survived for their homes.Since in a form of students and skill workers many immigrants visits the country by constructing the tallest building this issue will be solved.

Their is a significant con as well when resident numbers will be increase for in the city and many tallest building will constructed in the whole country. so, more people will be apply for immigrantion and that's how population curve rises, whereas skilled workers call out their families to live with them. Second major con is the more people lives in one city the more traffic and pollution will casued in the city so people who lives previously will raised their voice to eliminate the immigrants from their country and that's how the siuation will get worse and challenges appeared for the government where other side companies who are looking for the talented skill workers for their companies they can easily fulfill their requirement.

In conclusion, In my opinion, Government should construct the tallest building the cities along with the plan struction that how much residence they can accomodate in the country and what are the pros and cons they are going to face. If they planned strategically they will get benifit in the end for sure.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear position ('I strongly agreed with the statement') and discusses both the advantages and disadvantages of building tall apartment blocks in large cities. Ideas such as accommodating a growing population, easing housing crises, and the drawbacks of increased traffic and pollution are presented. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. The reasoning regarding immigration and skilled workers becomes slightly confused and tangential in the body paragraphs. While all parts of the task are addressed, the depth of exploration aligns best with Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at a conventional essay structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, logical progression is frequently disrupted by run-on sentences and poor referencing. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as the frequent reliance on 'and that's how' or 'where'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within the body paragraphs is faulty, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of arguments smoothly. This performance reflects Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'accommodate', 'strategically', and 'immigrants', but control is inconsistent. There are numerous word choice and collocation errors, such as 'groundroot level' instead of 'grassroots level', 'survived for their homes' instead of 'struggled to find homes', and 'casued' for caused. Spelling and morphological errors ('advatange', 'accomodate', 'immigrantion', 'siuation') are noticeable and occasionally impede communication, placing the lexical control firmly at a Band 5 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. Many sentences are overly long, run-on constructions joined incorrectly by commas rather than proper conjunctions or full stops (e.g., 'The other advantage is that housing crises will be decreased through out the cities and less people will be survived for their homes.Since in a form of students...'). Frequent errors in tense consistency, subject-verb agreement ('resident numbers will be increase'), and punctuation are present throughout the text, causing difficulty for the reader and fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
