Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the present time , In large cities there are so many difficulties facing for finding homes. As per my thought , making big flats are very useful to living in big cities .
The main point of agree with building tall aparment is that because all the peoples in large cities are getting land easily if the land they this to buy than the concern of land price make a big trouble to afford it . Secondly , I believe that flats are affordable which helps peoples to buy it . The tall building not just a building it help all the peoples who want to see the dream of home. I agree its only blocks but its afford by all hard working middle class people. Its not easily to construct tall building , it also provide employment to all they try to get work but not getting work .
Lets go explore the facilties that aparment provided to all the flat members. Firstly, apartment provide furnisher , water supply , power supply and lift facilities which help to just move to apartment without anything needed . Secondly, the small amount of maintainence charges needed only which easily payable to all . Large cities , allot of people who think to get flat but this how its possible , but they donot know loan facilities which goverment also provided to peoples to give easily installments and live in your own home.
I try to explain our more brief that , When i want to make home i want to see land some places than i see all the calacution how much the home cost me its around 80 lakhs which is very expensive to middle class person than my dealing person suggest why not purchse flat which i easily get 40 lakhs than my family throught that flat can be affordable . so all the peoples who think that buying own homes my suggestion is buying aparmtent is best for all.
Overall, I am fully agree that building apartment is the best way for all to buy in affordable price and enjoy the facilities that i am asking you in it .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The candidate addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of building tall apartment blocks to solve housing shortages in large cities. Several supporting points are presented, such as land affordability, employment creation, and built-in amenities like water and power supply. Personal experience is also introduced to illustrate the cost comparison between houses and flats. However, the development of these ideas is frequently superficial, and the reasoning is sometimes repetitive or unclear, particularly in the second and third paragraphs. While the position is understandable, the overall depth of exploration aligns best with a Band 5.0, where ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into paragraphs with basic attempts at logical sequencing and signposting words such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Overall'. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing, run-on sentences, and abrupt shifts in focus, such as the sudden transition into personal anecdote in the fourth paragraph. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is often faulty or mechanical, and referencing (e.g., pronouns like 'they' and 'it') is frequently unclear, causing confusion for the reader. These features are characteristic of Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms such as 'big flats', 'good', 'things', and 'help'. There are frequent word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'making big flats are very useful to living' and 'small amount of maintainence charges needed only which easily payable'. Attempts to use less common or academic vocabulary, such as 'furnisher' instead of 'furniture' or 'calacution' instead of 'calculation', demonstrate limited control. The range of vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task, but noticeable errors and misspellings frequently restrict precision, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatically, the response displays a very limited range of structures, with frequent basic errors. Simple sentences predominate, and attempts at complex or compound sentences are almost invariably flawed by major grammatical inaccuracies, incorrect verb forms, and missing articles (e.g., 'The tall building not just a building it help all the peoples who want to see the dream of home', 'Its not easily to construct tall building'). Punctuation and subject-verb agreement errors are pervasive throughout the text (e.g., 'apments provided to all the flat members'). These frequent errors regularly cause difficulty for the reader, matching the criteria for Band 4.0.
