Student answer (Band 4.5)

The great method to deliver adequate residency in big cities is to constrict elevated apartment blocks. I Partially agree this notion because according to my perspective somehow, In massive cities to create an apartments however we made a little houses for secure our privacy.

One argument is that, In a Urban areas have very sufficient space of livings that's why we establish large apartment blocks for convenient and should not face as clear as mud in crowded areas. Moreover, Metropolitan areas are very threatful because of that many criminal are wandering during night and snatched important items and jewelries. Most of people feel secure at the living in a unit because they are very sensitive about their family. For Instance, In contemporary society, rapping and kidnaping case are rose up With each passing day so people are anxious of their children's that's why they preferred to live in flat.

Another important point is that, Some citizens are choose the small home according to their budget and private life. Various individuals are a working they waking up in crack of down and go to office. They did not disturb other for there own responsibilities such as, In every family have a couple of people to go outside for work as well as education purpose in that case they should do everything confidentiality.

Taking everything into consideration, I believe that half residents should opt for big apartments however other society should be favor the living on own small home. In that case, everything are running smoothly and efficiently.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide housing in large cities. The writer takes a partial stance, noting that while tall blocks provide necessary spaces, some people prefer smaller homes for privacy. However, the development of ideas is limited and often obscured by unnatural phrasing and confusing logic, particularly regarding crime and privacy concerns. For example, claims that metropolitan areas are threatful because criminals wander at night and snatch jewellery do not fully or relevantly extend the main economic or urban planning debate. Furthermore, the conclusion introduces a split view that is somewhat vague. Consequently, the response aligns best with the Band 5 descriptor where ideas are limited, under-developed, and the position is not consistently clear throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, attempting a traditional structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence construction. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'One argument is that, In a Urban areas have very sufficient space...' and 'For Instance, In contemporary society, rapping and kidnaping case are rose up...' Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion fails to create a smooth flow of ideas. Pronoun referencing and logical signposting are frequently faulty, making it difficult for the reader to follow the train of thought. This overall arrangement corresponds to Band 5, where there is some organization but no clear overall progression, and cohesive devices are inadequate or inaccurate.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and heavily restricted, with frequent word choice and collocation errors that severely impede natural expression. Examples include 'constrict elevated apartment blocks' instead of construct, 'very sufficient space of livings', 'threatful', and 'snatched important items and jewelries'. Serious word form and grammatical errors also appear within lexical choices, such as 'rapping and kidnaping case are rose up'. The range is minimally adequate to convey a rudimentary message, but the high frequency of unnatural phrasing and incorrect lexical items prevents the score from reaching a Band 6. Therefore, a Band 4 is appropriate due to basic, repetitive vocabulary and noticeable strain caused by inaccurate lexical choices.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are almost entirely faulty. The writer struggles with basic subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and clause structures, as seen in sentences like 'I Partially agree this notion because according to my perspective somehow, In massive cities to create an apartments however we made a little houses for secure our privacy.' Punctuation and article usage are erratic, and frequent errors distort meaning or cause considerable difficulty for the reader. Simple sentences often contain structural flaws, and error-free sentences are extremely rare. This profile matches the Band 4 descriptor, where grammar and punctuation errors are frequent and often distort the intended meaning.
