Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that the best procedure to provide a large quantity of houses in urban areas is to build tall apartment blocks rather than single story house. From my perspectives i strongly believe that in modern era to control the rapid grow population in urban cities it is essential to construct a tall apartments blocks.
First and foremost, government should construct a tall apartment block which lead to require a sufficient amount to established these project. For instance, tall buliings enhance the residential issue such as in a single story house all expences are responsibilty of a single man. In addition it is a more challanging situation to manage all the thing. Furthermore, in a single house, individual and elders suffer a loneliness and depression due to no gathering.
Futhermore, tall buliding could be a risk of disasters like natural accidents and noise pollution. Too much noice pollution create a disturbance of elder people. Because they wanted a peaceful environment in old age. As compared to single apartment provide a peacefull environment for elder people. It is benefitial for their mental health. For instance, elder people can not use the stairs because thier physical health condition have not allowed to use it.
In conclusion, there are the major arguments of ths issue.
In my opinion i would say that to control the rapid population growth government and other authorties should established the tall apartment blocks and also provide the all resential requirement to live the best standerd life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The candidate addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of building tall apartment blocks to provide housing in large cities, presenting a clear position in favour of tall apartments. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the arguments regarding elders and health issues are underdeveloped and slightly contradictory, shifting abruptly between social benefits, natural disasters, and mobility concerns. While all parts of the prompt are addressed to an extent, the reasoning often lacks clarity and depth. The response meets the minimum length requirement and attempts to cover various aspects of urban housing, placing it at a Band 5.5 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some attempts at paragraphing and cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore'. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt transitions and unclear referencing. For instance, the transition from government funding to elders suffering from loneliness lacks logical continuity. Cohesive devices are sometimes used mechanically or inaccurately, and referencing within sentences is occasionally confusing, as seen in the phrase 'As compared to single apartment provide a peacefull environment'. Overall, the text demonstrates a basic overall arrangement, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent issues in word choice, form, and collocation. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'rapid grow population', 'tall buliings enhance the residential issue', and 'natural accidents'. The candidate attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'authorities', 'established', and 'environment', but struggles with correct grammatical forms and collocations (e.g., 'single story house', 'residential requirement'). Spelling errors such as 'buliings', 'expences', 'challanging', 'noice', 'benefitial', 'thier', 'ths', 'authorties', and 'standerd' are noticeable throughout the text. This range is minimally adequate for the task, corresponding to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many of these attempts are flawed and contain frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'From my perspectives i strongly believe', 'government should construct a tall apartment block which lead to require', and 'elder people can not use the stairs because thier physical health condition have not allowed to use it'. Errors in subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, articles, and pluralisation are pervasive throughout the essay and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Because the control of grammar is weak and complex structures are frequently inaccurate, the response aligns best with a Band 4.5 descriptor.
