Student answer (Band 5.5)
One of the better strategy to give people, the space for living is to prapare tall buildings with number of apartments in huge cities. I completely agree with this view point and elaborate it with some reasons.
Establish huge buildings have enormus benefits. Firstly, it occupies less space, for instance a ten acres building with two floors have only 50-60 rooms while ten acres building with twenty floors have enormous rooms, upto 200. This space saving strategy helps to provide enough homes for residents in cities. In big cities most of the land is occupied by roads, factories, shopping areas and malls and lesser area is available for accomodations, in this scenario space saving strategy benefits alot. By this technique the land owner can build many of apartments in a single building.
Secondly, the highest buildings also attracts the people. Althouh a very strong foundations are require to stand such huge buildings but the upper floors also give a very pleasant view of nature. As the percentage of residents from countryside to urban areas is increasing day by day so many of houses are necessary for their settlement so, In taller buildings, numerous apartments are available where huge number of people can live. Moreover, due to number of activities in cities these are also the spot for tourism and tourists also need apartments for some days so thats why these huge buildings with numerous apartments are beneficial.
To sum up, the taller buildings with numerous apartments are crucial for big cities as the proportion of redsidents are rising up. On the other hand, due to lesser space availibilty in huge cities this space saving strategy is useful for providing accomodations to large population.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position agreeing with the prompt and supporting it with reasons such as space-saving and scenic views. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the argument regarding space-saving is supported by a somewhat convoluted mathematical comparison ("ten acres building with two floors have only 50-60 rooms while ten acres building with twenty floors have enormous rooms"), which slightly detracts from clarity. The conclusion briefly reiterates the main points without introducing new depth. While the main stance is clear throughout, the ideas would benefit from more precise elaboration and varied examples to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the criteria for Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and is divided into logical paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To sum up' are employed to signpost the progression of ideas, though some transitional phrasing feels mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Althouh a very strong foundations are require'. Referencing is generally clear, but paragraph internal cohesion occasionally breaks down due to run-on sentences and punctuation errors, making the logical flow less smooth than required for a Band 7. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct arguments, placing the response firmly at Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, incorporating terms such as 'settlement', 'tourism', 'proportion', and 'accommodation'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'strategy' instead of 'strategies', 'prapare' instead of 'prepare', 'enormus' instead of 'enormous', 'accomodations' instead of 'accommodations', and 'availibilty' instead of 'availability'. Furthermore, collocations are occasionally unnatural, such as 'give people the space for living' or 'highest buildings'. These inaccuracies indicate a limited control of word choice and spelling, placing this criterion at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied structures like conditional and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'One of the better strategy' instead of 'strategies', 'a very strong foundations are require' instead of 'very strong foundations are required', and 'these are also the spot' instead of 'spots'. Punctuation and comma splices also affect readability, as seen in 'As the percentage of residents... so many of houses are necessary... so, In taller buildings...'. These frequent errors frequently cause some difficulty for the reader, aligning with Band 5.
