Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that the best method to provide a large quantity of houses in urban areas is to build tall apartment blocks rather than single-story house. From my perspectives I strongly believe that in modern era to control the rapid grow population in urban cities it is essential to construct a tall apartments blocks.
First and foremost, government should construct the tall apartment blocks which leads to require a sufficient amount to establish to these projects. For instance, tall buldings enhance the residential issue such as in a single- story house all expenses are responsibilty of a single man. In addition it is a more difficult situation to manage all the things. Furthermore, in a single house, individuals and elders suffer a loneliness and depression due to no gathering.
Furthermore, tall bulidings could be a risk of disasters like natural accidents and noise pollution. Too much noise pollution create a disturbance of elder people. Because they wanted to a peaceful environment in old age. As compared to single apartment provide a peacefull environment for elder people. It is beneficial for their mental health. For instance, elder people can not use the stairs because thier physical health condition does not allow them.
In conclusion, although some people argue this issue.
In my opinion I would say that to control the rapid population growth government and other authorties should establish the tall apartment blocks and also provide for all residential requirements to live the best standerd life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position on building tall apartment blocks to accommodate urban population growth. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion around single-story houses introducing loneliness and disaster risks feels somewhat disjointed and lacks clear logical extension. Additionally, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, containing only 247 words. This slight under-length infraction, combined with under-developed main body paragraphs, places the task achievement score firmly at a band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted. The second body paragraph abruptly pivots to discussing the risks of tall buildings such as disasters and noise pollution, contradicting the positive stance established earlier without clear transitional framing. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes misused or mechanical, as seen in the phrasing 'First and foremost' followed by weak logical ties, and referencing is occasionally unclear.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a minimally adequate vocabulary range for discussing urban housing topics, utilizing terms such as 'urban areas', 'rapid population growth', and 'noise pollution'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'single-story house' instead of houses, 'rapid grow population' instead of growth, and 'standerd life' instead of standard of living. These errors and the limited variety of less common vocabulary restrict the lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text displays a mix of simple and attempting complex sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles, subject-verb agreement, and pluralization, such as 'tall apartments blocks', 'government should construct the tall apartment blocks', and 'elder people can not use the stairs because thier physical health condition'. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also require attention, notably in the conclusion where sentences are fragmented. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader.
