Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, due to increase in population in larger cities leads to lack of homes to stay peacefully with satisfaction according to their comfort.
For this, city authorities should take upper hand to construct larger appartments in small area to increase the stay with comfort. In my opinion i genuinely agree with the statement of building taller appartment blocks in larger cities to provide comfortable homes to the residents of cities.
To begin with, residents must know the importants of land and homes to stay in a larger cities where the population is high. For example, Mumbai is a city where population is more and has lack of homes, for this municipality looked at this situation and planned to construct tall apparment block in enogh space to get enough homes to city residents. Although these appartments are constructed in a conguested area but designed with spacious home for the people. By providing homes to the people in a single appartment may give some advantages they are like: making strong and unity bond between neighbours, knowing the importance of sharing, making comunity centres to create a stage for multiple activites where the residents can know eachother.
On the other hand, Although providing enough home to the city people engineers should follow the rules and regulation which are provided by the municipality of a particular city. For example, befring the start of construction authorities must check the soil and its toughness, According to that results people must build the appartment in a mentioned height and floors irrespective of their own decission.
In the conclusion, In future their is a chance of increase in population rather than decreasing in larger cities like mumbai, bengalore, hyderabad, chennai...etc. So, land should be used sustainly by the people by knowing the value of sustainability development where it must be not all problem for future residents. For not getting any probelm in future about enough homes the plans should be planned at present to avoid future problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing the extent to which the writer agrees with building tall apartment blocks in large cities. A clear position is maintained throughout, beginning with the introduction ('In my opinion i genuinely agree...'). Relevant ideas are presented, such as land scarcity in cities like Mumbai and the social benefits of community living, as well as the need for strict engineering regulations. However, some ideas are a bit repetitive or underdeveloped, and the examples, while relevant, lack depth. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the criteria for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, using introductory, body, and concluding sections. Logical sequencing is present, with cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'In the conclusion' used to guide the reader. However, referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices can feel mechanical or slightly awkward (e.g., 'By providing homes to the people in a single appartment may give some advantages they are like:'). Paragraphing is sufficient, but transitions between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. This corresponds to a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate to the task, including terms like 'sustainly' (intended as sustainably), 'municipality', and 'sustainability development'. However, there are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'appartments', 'importants', 'enogh', 'conguested', 'befring', and 'decission'. While the vocabulary is adequate to convey the basic message and does not severely impede communication, the frequent errors prevent the score from reaching a higher band. This is a solid Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'due to increase in population in larger cities leads to lack of homes', 'city authorities should take upper hand', and 'their is a chance'. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with run-on sentences and incorrect comma splices in the conclusion. These errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar performance firmly in the Band 5.0 range.
