Student answer (Band 4.5)
Land areas will be decreased in the upcoming years because of increase in population. some people argue that in cities has small space to build house so some of individuals build tall apartments and blocks for save space. I partely agree with this statement for which vindication would be elaborated in the upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, there are several agree points are associated with it. The most prominenet point is, rise in population. To explain with, in many big cities most of the house are build in tall blocks to save areas. Moreover, it is best way to build tall bulidings because nowadays, every individuals opens their factories, hospitals, hotels so there is no space for houses. For example, most of individual left their house from country side and move to urban areas, so land is enough. Therefore, in tall buildings individual enjoy the all city view and it consume small space.
On the other hand, negative side can not be ignored, there are numerous disagree points are associated with it . The main reason is, fall easily. most of tall buildings fall easily in earthquick situation or in high speed wind . In addition, tall apartments are very costly. For example, in assam, tall apartment was fell cause of high flood and many people were dead on the sport. Therefore, they fall easily bacause enginers do not use proper material of good quality or some time there is no proper exit area in the emergency situation like fire .
In conclusion, after taking all the aspects in my consendratation, I would like to emphzise that, the agree points are, save space or money and disagree like costly and fear of fall in disaster situation like fire and flood.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of building tall apartment blocks in large cities, and establishes a partial position in the introduction ("I partely agree with this statement"). However, the ideas are rather limited and lack full development. While the essay touches on reasons like saving space versus safety concerns and building costs, the arguments are brief, somewhat repetitive, and rely on sweeping generalizations. For example, the claim that tall buildings "fall easily in earthquick situation" is asserted without sufficient supporting depth. To reach a higher band, the student needs to elaborate further on ideas with more precise examples and maintain a fully sustained, well-reasoned discussion throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs with discernible opening, body, and concluding sections, demonstrating an attempt at basic organization. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt transitions and confusing sentences, such as "so land is enough" in the second body paragraph, which contradicts the premise of space scarcity. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes incorrectly (e.g., "To commence with, there are several agree points are associated with it"). Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is weak, resulting in an overall arrangement that feels disjointed and difficult to follow smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The student uses a very limited and repetitive vocabulary range that is barely adequate for the task. Words and phrases such as "tall apartments and blocks," "save space," and "fall easily" are repeated frequently. There are noticeable spelling errors ("partely," "prominenet," "bulidings," "earthquick," "bacakse," "enginers," "consendratation," "emphzise") and severe word-choice inaccuracies (e.g., "agree points," "dead on the sport"). These lexical limitations and errors occasionally cause strain and confusion for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is consistently weak. There are frequent errors in basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement (e.g., "most of the house are build"), articles, and prepositions. Many complex or multi-clause sentences are ungrammatical or fractured, such as "in cities has small space to build house so some of individuals build tall apartments and blocks for save space." Punctuation errors are also prevalent throughout the text. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader.
