Student answer (Band 5.0)
Building skyscalper to adjust accomodations in cities and avoiding more use of land. And I strongly agrees with the idea of building apartment blocks.
Many peoples from different cities of country came to larger cities for specific task like treatment, education, job etc. As the population of cities increases the accomodation become the most stressful part of life and the rents hiked which is hard to adjust for middle class peoples so bulding the apartment block in larger cities are the best idea to avoid home crises.
Building aparments in larger cities are more usfull then private properties and convensing people to live in apartments blocks can be the harder. But if state provide much facilities near apartments then people can adjust there without any questions. The facilities nearby should include hospital, markets for grocery and daily househood, vechile repairments etc and inside of apartment block there should be a 24/7 elevator systems backed by solar and generators to avoid stairs which is hard for old age peoples, a garden in outsude cooridor for childers for extra curicular acitivites. Public transport station should be installed by the walking distance.
I strongly agree with the statement the apartments blocks are very essiential in larger ciities for avoiding the homelessness, home crises and increase in rents in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance that tall apartment blocks are the best solution for housing shortages in large cities. However, the task achievement is significantly hindered by the word count falling well short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 216 words. Because the length requirement is not met, the ideas are under-developed and lack the full extension expected for a higher band. While the writer mentions relevant supporting points such as urban migration, high rents, and necessary surrounding facilities, the brevity of the response prevents a fully rounded exploration of the topic. Consequently, the score is capped due to length and limited idea expansion, aligning best with a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text demonstrates a basic overall progression, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing facilities and concluding with a restatement of the writer's view. However, paragraphing is problematic; the response begins with a fragmented sentence and a single-sentence introduction ("Building skyscalper..."). Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes repetitive or awkward, such as the frequent use of "and" to link clauses or starting sentences abruptly with conjunctions like "But if state provide...". Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the mechanical transitions detract from the logical flow. This organizational structure and limited cohesive control fit the Band 5.0 descriptors well.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts some less common vocabulary relevant to the topic, such as "accomodation", "home crises", and "extra curicular acitivites". However, there is a very high density of spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including "skyscalper" for skyscrapers, "agrees" instead of agree, "peoples" instead of people, "bulding" instead of building, "aparments" instead of apartments, and "usfull" instead of useful. These lexical inaccuracies and persistent spelling mistakes cause noticeable strain for the reader and reflect a limited range with frequent errors, placing the vocabulary firmly at a Band 4.5 or 5.0 level. We award a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex forms. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout, including subject-verb agreement issues ("peoples... came", "apartment block... are"), missing articles ("if state provide"), and incorrect prepositional phrases ("in outsude cooridor"). Sentence boundaries are frequently blurred, and many clauses are incorrectly joined or punctuated. The high frequency of grammatical errors causes difficulty for the reader and restricts the structure range, characteristic of a Band 4.5 descriptor, but rounded up to a Band 5.0 for attempting complex clauses.
