Student answer (Band 5.0)
The arguments between people often happens that best way of delivering more homes in large cities is to build tall apartments blocks. As long and tall apartments building covers less space and can give residence to a large propotion of population. I will go with the agree statement.
Although, the population of the world is growing rapidly and the deforestation is taking place in the whole world very swiftly. People are constructing their homes on the agricultural land enormously. A refine amount of deforestation and huge decline has been noticed in the world since the last decade. Due to the escalation in the popularity it is very essential for us to build tall apartment block.
Moreover, there are massive of other benefits of building apartments in the large cities as there are people who come from small cities and villages for jobs and business in the major cities of country. Mostly they prefer a rental apartment for their residence instead of a small whole house.
We should focus on building large industries and markets in the major cities of constructing a whole new and big housing societies. For instance, government construct a new housing society in the middle of the town covering upto 200 acres and providing a space for 3000 houses including a big community center, huge park and a separate market plus playground while a tall and big apartment block built on 50 acres having almost 50 floors and give a shelter to almost 5000 families.
In my perspective, it is beneficial to build tall apartments blocks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and takes a clear position in favour of tall apartment blocks. The student introduces relevant arguments, such as saving agricultural land from deforestation and accommodating a larger population on less surface area. However, some ideas are underdeveloped or lack full extension. For instance, the discussion regarding people migrating from small towns is briefly stated without sufficient elaboration, and the example comparing a housing society to a tall apartment block, while relevant, contains some logical confusion regarding land allocation and scale. Overall, the main premise of the task is adequately discussed, earning a solid Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, and the writer attempts to logically sequence ideas from population growth and land preservation to migration patterns and housing comparisons. Paragraphing is used to separate main points, though some paragraph structures are unconventional. Cohesive devices are employed, but they are frequently faulty, mechanical, or awkwardly placed, such as starting sentences with 'Although,' or 'Moreover, there are massive of other benefits.' Referencing is also sometimes unclear, which impacts the smooth progression of ideas. This places the response firmly in the Band 5.0 range for cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'escalation,' 'deforestation,' 'agricultural land,' and 'community center.' However, there are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'arguments between people often happens,' 'propotion,' 'A refine amount,' and 'massive of other benefits.' Furthermore, word formation issues like 'constructing a whole new and big housing societies' demonstrate limited control over less common vocabulary. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, aligning the vocabulary performance with Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are multiple grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('arguments... happens'), missing prepositions, and incorrect sentence framing, such as starting a sentence with 'Although' without an independent clause following logically, or 'instead of a small whole house.' Punctuation is generally basic. While the meaning can usually be discerned, frequent errors cause strain and place the grammatical accuracy at Band 5.0.
