Student answer (Band 4.5)

The best way is to provide houses in big cities is to build tall appartments. I completely agree with this perspective, provide enough homes in cities is to built apartments.

In cities, the best way is to provide enough houses for residents is to construct buildings with appartments. I completely agree with this opininon because cities have enoUgh land and the popullation is rapidly increase in the urban areas due to which more houses are requird to build but the area is limited and for construction they uses land nearby city , murge that area with city it badly affect the environment because for construction, they cut the trees and also use tha green land that is very harmful for animals and as well as humans. In addition, a house is for maximumone to two families, wherease, a building contain many apartments many families live in one building so by construct high rise building we can use a small land for many peoples.

Furthermore, peoples rapidly migrate to cities and the rate is increased day by day because urban areas have lack of: job oppurtunities, higher education and technolgies. So, the peoples move to city for better lifestyle. By construction of high rise buildings we manege such a large popullation as well as we save our environment .

To sum up, best way is to provide enough houses in urban areas is to construct high rise apartments I strongly agree with this opininon because it manage such a large popullation in small land and provide facilities to them , it also better for our environment, nature is not damage or distroy due to construction.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The candidate addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout, agreeing with the statement that tall apartment blocks are the best solution for housing in large cities. The ideas are relevant, discussing environmental impacts and efficient land use, such as stating that 'a building contain many apartments many families live in one building so by construct high rise building we can use a small land for many peoples.' However, some ideas are repetitive and under-developed, with constant restatements of the main thesis throughout the body paragraphs without adding significantly deeper analysis. This places the performance comfortably within the Band 5 descriptors, as the task is addressed and a position is clear, but the development is limited and repetitive.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response shows some organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary, but there is a lack of clear overall progression due to severe redundancy. The student repeats the exact same thesis statement multiple times across the essay, for instance opening nearly every paragraph by restating 'the best way is to provide enough houses... is to construct buildings with appartments.' Cohesive devices are basic, repetitive, and frequently misused, such as 'Furthermore, peoples rapidly migrate to cities and the rate is increased day by day because urban areas have lack of: job oppurtunities...' Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow is disrupted by repetitive phrasing and weak transitions, reflecting Band 4 performance characteristics.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, touching upon relevant themes like urban migration, environment, and high-rise construction. However, there are persistent spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'appartments', 'opininon', 'enoUgh', 'popullation', 'requird', 'murge', and 'oppurtunities'. Less common vocabulary is attempted with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader or require rereading to grasp the intended meaning. This matches the Band 5 lexical descriptor profile.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences or run-on compound structures joined by coordinating conjunctions or commas. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, characterised by missing verbs, incorrect verb forms, and severe punctuation errors, such as 'provide enough homes in cities is to built apartments' and 'nature is not damage or distroy due to construction.' Frequent grammatical errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader throughout the text, aligning with the descriptors for Band 4.
