Student answer (Band 5.5)
Best way for enough accomodation for residents is to built more and more apartments rather then building small houses, it is a great idea for any city who's facing the difficulty of accomodation.I totally agree with this statement because in major cities housing is a very dominating problem and the one visible solution for it is apartments.
One the one hand, while people are building more and more houses in towns and in villages, individuals living in cities also have a urge to be and built their own houses. It is resonable, but the space in cities is very conjusted and it becomes very difficult, to fullfill housing requirements for the people if space is not utilized in a way it should be.Although, apartments have a varity of beneficial effects the major is that, it can fit and ease hundreds of people into a small place, and give everyone their desired privacy. And it can be effectful for every individual of different culture and tradition. For Instance, when international students came into a city for studies they usually and most often use apartments for accomodation, even if they are off-campus or on-campus.
On the other hand, if apartments have positive effects they also have negative effects, like if many people are living in a place it needs proper cleaning and maintainance, if there will be any disrupting and delay it might have negtive effect on individulas life. And many more problems, like a major one is difficulties to find adress of a specific person. For example, there was a man delivering important mails, packages or a type of food it might be difficult to find the building or a specific apartment, this is the backlash for it rather to it, apartments are the best.
In conclusion, from my perspective in a city where there is already problems for housing and accomodation.Apartments will be the best for major cities, and I would definately go for it and prefer it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt directly by arguing that tall apartment blocks are the best solution to housing shortages in large cities. The writer takes a clear position throughout the essay. Main ideas, such as space-saving benefits and accommodating students or diverse groups, are introduced and supported with examples like international students. However, some ideas remain somewhat under-developed or colloquial, such as mentioning delivery issues or maintenance in a generalized way. There is a tendency to over-generalize, and the conclusion largely restates the position without significantly extending the insights. Overall, the task is adequately addressed, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear four-paragraph structure comprising an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct arguments. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen in phrases like 'One the one hand' and 'rather to it, apartments are the best.' Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences is sometimes disjointed due to run-on sentences and punctuation issues, such as comma splices. Cohesive devices are present but handled with limited flexibility. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.5 to 6.0, and it is best evaluated at a Band 6.0 given the clear overall progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully using terms like 'accomodation', 'dominating problem', and 'maintenance'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'accomodation', 'built' instead of 'build', 'who's' instead of 'whose', 'resonable', 'conjusted', 'varity', 'effectful', 'negtive', 'adress', and 'definately'. Furthermore, word choices and collocations are occasionally awkward, such as 'have a urge' or 'disrupting and delay'. While these lexical limitations and spelling mistakes do not entirely impede communication, they restrict the vocabulary score to Band 5.5, rounding down to a Band 5.5 or securely fitting Band 5.0 descriptors for accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with run-on sentences and comma splices, such as in the opening sentence and throughout the body paragraphs. Subject-verb agreement and tense consistency also show lapses, for example, 'when international students came into a city for studies they usually and most often use'. Punctuation is frequently misused or omitted. Because errors are frequent and recurrent across complex structures, the grammatical performance fits the Band 5 descriptors.
