Student answer (Band 5.5)
the best way to facilitate enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I partially agreed with this opinion. In my perspective, build up tall apartment block can be budget friendly for citizens. Also ,tall building means having more land space. However, it cause some troubles such as confliction develop among neighbours.
There two reasons for holding my opinion. to begin with building tall apartments is cost effective. citizens who can not afford living in their own house. the appartments can be budget friendly for them. For instance, if a student who travel from their host city and having not enough cost. he can easily live in appartment and manage his expenses. another important reason is that tall building need less space. the land space can be effectively used in building other housing projects. consequently, it can economically and socially benefit the state.
However, the challenges it offer such as the confliction that mostly occur living in appartments. many people does not feel freedom in this accommodations. for instance, they can not listen music in loud voice because of other neighbouring people .they do not have freewell like there in own houses. Lastly , people do not feel comfortable sharing kicthen or balconies with someone . this also cause confliction among residents.
In conclusion , sharing houses can be cost friendly for foreign students and low class fiendly . also it save huge area for building more homes. However, living in appartment feel restricted . you can not do every thing what ever you want. you have to mindful of the people around you so that you don't disturb them .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by presenting a partial position on whether tall apartment blocks are the best solution for urban housing. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as cost-effectiveness, land conservation, and social challenges like conflicts among neighbors. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally repetitive. For instance, the discussion on cost and students is somewhat superficial and under-developed. While a clear stance is presented throughout the response, the arguments would benefit from greater extension and more sophisticated examples to reach a higher band level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with logical paragraphing, separating the introduction, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. The student uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Another important reason', and 'However', but transitions between sentences can feel abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the mechanical nature of the linking phrases detracts from the fluency of the text. Overall progression is present, but it lacks the sophistication required for Band 7.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common items such as 'budget friendly', 'cost effective', and 'accommodation'. However, there are notable word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'confliction' instead of 'conflict', 'freewell' instead of 'freedom', and 'kicthen' instead of 'kitchen'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score. There is also unnecessary repetition of words like 'appartment', 'houses', and 'confliction'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('many people does not feel'), tense inconsistencies ('build up tall apartment block can be'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences and awkward spacing around punctuation marks. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly in the Band 5 category for grammar.
