Student answer (Band 5.0)
Earth is facing a load of population day by day. With rising number of people, there's an increasing demand for the basic necessities.Housing is one of these basic necessity that every family need to live. With rise in immigration from rural to urban areas, the single housing scheme isn't enough to meet the accomodation demands of urban citizens.
New ideas are discovered to make the city housing schemes in a manner, I'd be conviniet to adjust a great number of people. The modern idea is to builf tall buildings with greater number of flats to provide accomodation to a greater number of people at a time. I completely agree as the idea is best to fit with increasing demands for accomodation in today's era
Some side effects can also be seen as much the buildings are becoming taller, the more conjusted the flats are becoming. It is very hard for a family of more than 4 people to live in these flats. A poor ventilation system is provided with a shared lobby area where there's a high chance to lack the privacy.
Alhough, there are some side effects of taller buildings but with increasing population in urban areas, it was the only solution left to make the land enough to make people feel to fit in. Future Dldiscoveries may focus on designing some better strategies for construction projects to cope up with the side effects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response presents a clear position regarding the topic, agreeing that building tall apartment blocks is the best solution for urban housing demands. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. The student mentions important points such as population growth and the need for housing, and briefly touches upon drawbacks like congestion and privacy issues. Furthermore, the response falls short of the required 250-word minimum, containing only 234 words. This under-length impacts the overall task response as it prevents a fully developed discussion. Therefore, it fits best within Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into four distinct paragraphs, attempting a logical progression from introduction to arguments and a conclusion. However, the coherence is hindered by abrupt transitions and faulty referencing. For instance, phrases like 'New ideas are discovered to make the city housing schemes in a manner, I'd be conviniet' lack smooth integration. Paragraphing is used, but the internal cohesion often feels mechanical or inadequate. Some sentences feel disjointed, affecting the overall flow and readability of the text. This aligns with the descriptors for Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but it is basic and repetitive. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'immigration', 'necessity', and 'accomodation' (spelled 'accomodation' and 'conviniet' incorrectly). There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'builf' instead of 'built', 'conjusted', and 'Alhough'. While the intended meaning is usually communicated, the lexical limitations and persistent spelling errors constrain the score to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and subordinate clauses ('With rising number of people, there's an increasing demand...'). However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('Housing is one of these basic necessity'), incorrect prepositions, and structural awkwardness ('as much the buildings are becoming taller, the more conjusted the flats are becoming'). These errors can cause some difficulty for the reader, matching the criteria for Band 5.0.
