Student answer (Band 5.0)
For development of urban area and to provide essential needs such as house, the most important thing is to have accommodation in city. In megacity people mostly leave in building but some locals like to live in society or ternament. It is not right way to offer homes in township by consturcting large apartments.
There are many benefits by rendering flats to individuals as the land are more costly in cities, poor people can not afford that much so to fulfill their needs in big city government provides building at low rate. One benefit is that some people likes to have all facilities in one, so they choose apartments over ternaments and space for other development can be saved as land is limited source. Another benefit is people more like to have high rise building for upper view from their appartment. I like to live in building because it provides sports activity and I can play daily there
However there are slight cons which should be taken in consideration as in tall building ther can be lack of safety as compared to personal house. Government should also notice the management of building and poor tower becomes vertical slums. For the fulsillment it is not a correct way as it requires more power avability of connection, furniture or renovation should be done in time.
In my personal opinion, I agree with this statement because to supply homes to number of people ,constructing high building is best way as land can be saved and practically it is not possible to offer private home to large number of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of building tall apartment blocks in large cities and provides a clear concluding position in agreement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on benefits touches on land saving and facilities, but these points are under-developed and rely on general statements rather than extended support. The personal reference in the body paragraph ('I like to live in building because it provides sports activity') is slightly informal and detracts from academic tone. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of ideation aligns more closely with a Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptor. Due to the positive marking approach and the clear stance presented, a band score of 5.5 is awarded.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which attempts to structure the introduction, body points, and conclusion. However, paragraphing is poorly managed; some paragraphs merge multiple distinct ideas, such as mixing affordability, amenities, and personal preferences into a single paragraph. Cohesive devices are frequently mechanical or misused, as seen in transitions like 'For development of urban area...' and 'For the fulsillment it is not a correct way...'. Referencing and logical progression are occasionally unclear, making the reader work harder to follow the argument. These features are characteristic of Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited and occasionally repetitive vocabulary. Words like 'building', 'city', and 'house' appear frequently with little variation. There are also noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as 'ternament' (tenement), 'upper view' (view from above or upper floors), 'avability' (availability), and 'vertical slums'. Spelling errors are present ('consturcting', 'fulsillment'). While the vocabulary is adequate to convey basic meanings related to housing and urbanisation, the frequent inaccuracies and lack of sophisticated phrasing place this response at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and attempted complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('in megacity', 'as land are more costly'), subject-verb agreement issues ('people mostly leave', 'some people likes'), and incorrect prepositions. Many complex structures are faulty or contain tangled phrasing, such as 'For the fulsillment it is not a correct way as it requires more power avability of connection, furniture or renovation should be done in time.' These persistent errors cause frequent strain for the reader and prevent the text from reaching Band 6, supporting a score of 5.0.
