Student answer (Band 5.0)
The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks.
I agree with this statement because in large cities population more than so a government should manage the houses in this city, so the best way is to build tall apartments blocks. In these apartments hundereds of the family lives with the maintainance of their privacy. Through this individuals is connected with each other.socialization is also increase, they share their family happiness and sorrows with each other and pat the shoulder of people who are in stressful situation.
In a singel piece of land hundered of families lived, tall apartments also provide enough homes in large cities.Because in large population areas government not only manage houses but aslo make a space for hospitals, educational insitutes and also refreshment areas.
Some how I disagree with this statement because, A disastour happend in one house may be affect a nearby too like if a gas cylinder is blast in one apartment their is an almost chances that fire also affect nearby family too.some how a natural disastour is also affect hundered of families collectively like an earthquake affect number of peoples in single time, The chances of whole building collapse is high so, it may also be noticed when building tall apartments. A honor must assure that the structure of building is strong enough to face minior dangers.
In conclusion, both the statements are the areas to be noticed. If a source has advantages their is definately the drawbacks of this relief too.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The candidate addresses the prompt by expressing a clear, albeit somewhat contradictory, position on building tall apartment blocks. The response attempts to cover both the advantages, such as efficient space management and community building, and the disadvantages, such as safety hazards and disasters. However, the ideas are often underdeveloped and repetitive, particularly regarding population management and safety concerns about fires and earthquakes. The text tends to generalise rather than fully extend arguments with concrete examples, reflecting a Band 5 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with distinct paragraph breaks, but the logical progression is frequently disrupted by sudden shifts in stance, such as abruptly stating 'Some how I disagree with this statement'. Cohesive devices are basic and sometimes inaccurate, such as repetitive use of 'and', 'also', and 'some how'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas lacks smoothness, placing the response firmly at Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively limited and repetitive, with basic terms such as 'houses', 'cities', 'families', and 'buildings' recurring throughout. There are noticeable errors in word formation and choice, such as 'hundereds' instead of 'hundreds', 'insitutes' instead of 'institutes', 'disastour' instead of 'disaster', and 'pat the shoulder' which is an unnatural idiom in this context. These lexical inadequacies and frequent spelling errors restrict the score to a Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay features a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('population more than so', 'hundered of the family lives'), missing articles ('in single time'), and incorrect prepositions. Punctuation is also weak, with run-on sentences and comma splices. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and align with Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
