Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many large cities, the growing population is creating shortage of household. To solve this problem build tall apartment blocks is good solution.I agree the statment that build tall apartment blocks is best way to provide enough homes in large cities.
Firstly, tall apartment blocks is best solution to provide houses to people because, it consume less space and accommodate large number of people in single apartment block it can easily accommodate five hundreds people. For example, my friend Ali is living in a apartment and the building is very tall it accommodate around six hundreds people in a small place.
Secondly, nowadys apartment is very cheaper than house because cost of building apartment is very low and apartment also consume less space. In the modern era building a house is very expensive because in large cities land is very expensive and people cannot afford house. For instance, my friend qasim was planing to build house but the land was very expensive so he decided to buy an apartment because apartment is very cheap and it is also constructed and furnished.
In my opinion, people should purchase apartment because it is very cheap and it is also furnished you just went their and start living their also all daily life appliances is available their. On the other hand you can enjoy the view of whole city which is very beautiful.
To sum up, build tall apartment blocks is best way to provid homes to huge amount of people because it is very cheap and also it consume less space as compared to house.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position agreeing with the idea that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide housing in large cities. The writer presents relevant, though somewhat basic, arguments regarding space-saving and cost-efficiency. However, the ideas are relatively under-developed and lack broader socio-economic depth, relying heavily on personal anecdotes such as 'my friend Ali' and 'my friend qasim'. There is also slight repetition of the main points across body paragraphs. Despite these limitations, all parts of the task are addressed with a clear position maintained throughout. This performance aligns well with the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with clear paragraphing, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, a personal opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'On the other hand', and 'To sum up' are used to sequence the text, though they are at times mechanical or repetitive. Progression is somewhat linear, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun usage in 'you just went their and start living their also all daily life appliances is available their'. Overall, the organization shows basic logical arrangement, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors well.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'population', 'apartment blocks', 'furnished', and 'appliances'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, awkward word choices, and repetition, such as 'shortage of household' instead of 'housing shortage', and frequent misuse of 'cheaper than house' and 'consume less space'. Spelling errors also appear, such as 'nowadys' and 'planing'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the score from reaching a higher band. This is consistent with a Band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('tall apartment blocks is', 'appliances is available'), missing plural forms ('provide homes'), tense inconsistencies ('you just went their and start living their'), and frequent punctuation errors including run-on sentences lacking proper punctuation (e.g., 'To solve this problem build tall apartment blocks is good solution.I agree...'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
