This essay totaly agrees to the statement of providing sufficiant homes in large cities is to build tall towers, because it can help citizens to find there exact home they are looking for. Sometimes people faces lack of apartments in the city they are looking for, so making tall building is useful for all who are looking for the best aparment under their budget. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that tall apartment blocks are the best solution for providing homes in large cities. The writer presents relevant ideas, such as population growth, land saving, and incorporating community amenities like gyms and swimming pools. However, the ideas are often repetitive and lack deep extension. For example, the argument that tall buildings help people find their exact home under budget is restated several times without introducing new supporting evidence. Additionally, the over-generalisation that building highted towers increases the space of land is slightly confusing, as it actually refers to maximizing land efficiency. Consequently, the task response falls into Band 5 or 6, where ideas are relevant but under-developed and lack fully articulated support. Because the minimum length requirement is met, the score is based purely on the depth of content provided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a basic overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, fitting into standard essay paragraphs. However, coherence is frequently hindered by mechanical or faulty cohesive devices and referencing errors. For example, the writer uses expressions like 'this is because of' and 'moreover' rather repetitively, and referencing pronouns such as 'there dream homes' (instead of their) cause minor tracking issues. Paragraphing is attempted, with body paragraphs separating different ideas like land usage and amenities, but the logical progression between sentences feels disjointed due to run-on structures. For instance, the first paragraph consists of one extremely long, comma-spliced sentence. Overall, the organizational structure demonstrates features of Band 5, where information and ideas are present and grouped into paragraphs, but overall progression lacks smooth, accurate transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and frequently repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'homes', 'city', 'building', and 'apartment'. There are also numerous spelling and word-choice errors that stem from phonetic confusion, such as 'sufficiant' (sufficient), 'there' (their), 'totaly' (totally), 'aparment' (apartment), and 'highted' (high-rise or tall). While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'amenities', 'population', and 'extra curriculum activity', inaccuracies in word formation and collocation prevent the score from reaching a higher band. These errors do not entirely impede communication because the general meaning remains clear, aligning closely with the descriptors for Band 5, where vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task but marked by noticeable lexical errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak, resulting in frequent errors that affect readability. There are many comma splices and run-on sentences, particularly in the opening paragraph: 'The great way to provide sufficiant homes to the citizens in big towns or cities is to make a tall towers, this is because of...'. Grammatical inaccuracies include subject-verb agreement errors ('making tall building gives', 'people faces'), article misuse ('making a tall towers'), and incorrect prepositional usage ('in the city they wants to live'). Complex structures are frequently attempted, but they contain structural flaws and punctuation issues. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, yet basic meaning is still conveyed, the performance corresponds to a Band 5 level.
