Student answer (Band 5.0)
Real estate are now focusing to enhance the living statandard in urban areas by improving infrastructure. Over the past few decades construction of taller buildings and building home horizontally has become a debate. Some argued to build skyscrapers to minimize the land usage, while others not agreed.
However, I believe that building more homes will occupy more land and will harm the farming industry. Agriculture sector required more land to generate signifcant revenue. In this way can add more greater share in the GDP of a country. Therefore, decreasing the land to build more and more homes is not and eco-firendly approach. For instance, Pakistan is an agriculture land, 60% of its GDP depend on this sector. Increasing population require sufficient number of homes which can effect the farmers land. Thus, taller buildings are the only option left behind.
On the other hand, Apartments, create more space for the people to live in. But, it creates a suffocated environment for the users. Moreover, in cities number of migrants are increasing for employment purposes which demands more houses. For examples, Cities like Kulalampur is over crowded in past few years because of the active tourism. Most of the enterpernures started their firm in this city and creating more oppurtunities for the worker. This attracts the students or workers all around the world. In this case, government of Malaysia builded skyscrappers to accumulate the high number of people.
Overall, landscaping for building homes or taller buildings in urban areas is required. Constructors must focus on the GDP goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. The student attempts a position, arguing initially against tall buildings due to agricultural concerns, but then somewhat contradicts this or shifts focus by stating 'taller buildings are the only option left behind' to save land, and later examining the pros and cons of apartments and skyscrapers. Ideas are generally relevant, but the development lacks clear, consistent progression. For instance, the transition between discussing farming in Pakistan and the situation of migrants in Kuala Lumpur is abrupt. The position becomes somewhat blurred as the essay progresses, resulting in a score that aligns with Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with distinct paragraphs, but overall progression is hindered by abrupt shifts in topic and weak logical connections. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'However, I believe...' following an introductory paragraph that did not clearly establish an opposing view, and 'On the other hand, Apartments, create more space...' which disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final concluding sentences are overly brief and fail to summarize the main arguments effectively. Referencing and substitution are occasionally unclear, leading to a score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and displays frequent errors in spelling, word formation, and collocation. Examples include 'statandard', 'eco-firendly', 'enterpernures', 'oppurtunities', 'builded', and 'skyscrappers'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'infrastructure', 'agriculture sector', and 'employment purposes', but the heavy concentration of spelling mistakes and awkward word choices ('building home horizontally', 'farming industry') causes noticeable difficulty for the reader and restricts the lexical score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but frequent grammatical errors occur throughout the text. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('Real estate are now focusing', 'Agriculture sector required', 'GDP depend', 'number of migrants are increasing'), article usage ('an agriculture land'), and prepositional phrases ('demand more houses'). Complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to strained sentences such as 'In this way can add more greater share in the GDP of a country.' Although meaning can generally be parsed, the high frequency of errors places this response at Band 5.0.
