Student answer (Band 5.0)
In such a civilization and economy, where life become to packed, busy and expensive. Some people believe that tall appartment blocks in the crowded cities is the best way to provide enough homes for peolple. It seems a best idea and in the upcoming paragraphes I will dicsuss wheather I agree with it or not.
Appartments in the big cities are the best way to provide home for most for the people as there are lot of industuries in the rural area which has taken a large amount of space although these help in the country economy. Factories, mills and other kind of bussinesses are also take part in accuping a huge area and left less area for big houses. Flats in the tall appartments are very helpfull for people who move from differnt area to big cities for any purpose for instance job and study.
Futhermore, there are large number of flats in a single building where almost 100+ population can live. Moreover people who live in appartments can connect with each other and help one another as they are living in the same plazza. Tall apartments have markets near by which is also a plus point for people to grap each and every thing of daily living from them. Such apppartments also have inside parking that also faciliate the renters. People can purchase or rent out the appartment according to their needs thats a better option instead of buying a full house.
To conclude that, homes in the tall appartments of cities have lots of benefits instead of big houses. I agree this question and support this idea.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the prompt regarding whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide housing in large cities. A position is presented, stating agreement with the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and includes tangents about rural industries and business spaces occupying land. While the student mentions benefits such as space-saving, community connection, nearby markets, and parking, the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack deep extension. Furthermore, the conclusion is weak and phrases the agreement awkwardly ('I agree this question'). Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth and clarity of the arguments correspond to Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptors. Given the positive marking approach and the clear attempt to cover the prompt, a band 5.0 or 5.5 is appropriate, but the ideas are relevant enough to lean toward a 5.0 due to under-development and tangents.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is divided into paragraphs, though the introductory paragraph acts more like a single block and the conclusion is just one short sentence. There is some attempt at logical sequencing, moving from the introduction of the topic to reasons supporting apartments, and concluding with a summary. However, overall progression is hindered by weak transitions and awkward phrasing, such as 'Futhermore' and 'To conclude that'. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or overly mechanical, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in the body paragraphs. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow within paragraphs is frequently disrupted by abrupt shifts in ideas. These features align closely with the Band 5 descriptors for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. Words related to the topic are used, such as 'civilization', 'economy', 'apartment blocks', 'industries', and 'renters'. However, there are numerous spelling errors ('appartment', 'peolple', 'paragraphes', 'wheather', 'industuries', 'bussinesses', 'accuping', 'helpfull', 'differnt', 'Futhermore', 'plazza', 'grap', 'apppartments', 'faciliate') and incorrect word forms or collocations ('life become to packed', 'accuping a huge area', 'I agree this question'). These noticeable errors and limited control over less common vocabulary restrict the score to Band 4.5 or 5.0. Because communication is generally maintained despite the errors, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak throughout the text. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('life become to packed', 'mills and other kind of bussinesses are also take part'), tense inconsistencies, and incorrect prepositions or structures ('in the upcoming paragraphes I will dicsuss wheather', 'provide home for most for the people'). Complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to noticeable strain for the reader. While some basic sentences are formed correctly, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies places this text firmly in the Band 4.5 to 5.0 range, fitting the criteria where errors frequently occur and can cause difficulty for the reader.
