To began with, tall apartments have clear advantages. firstly, they do not tale up m uch land beacuse they build upwords instead of sideways. However, this allows thousands of citizens live in a small area. secondly, when people live close together in the urbanization center, it is easier for them to go to work, shop and use public transport. Nevertheless this saves time and resduces traffic on the roads.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the extent of agreement with building tall apartment blocks to provide homes in large cities. A clear position is stated in the introduction, where the writer mentions 'I agree with this given statement'. Main ideas regarding the advantages of space-saving and proximity to work are presented, as well as drawbacks such as overcrowding and stress. However, some arguments lack full development, and the conclusion briefly introduces a new counter-proposal about expanding outwards rather than fully consolidating the central argument. Overall, the task is addressed to a Band 6.0 level, as relevant ideas are presented, but some parts of the prompt could have been extended more deeply.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a discernible overall progression of ideas, moving from advantages to disadvantages and alternative solutions. However, cohesive devices are frequently misused, mechanical, or misapplied in terms of transition words (e.g., beginning sentences with 'However' or 'moreover' where they do not logically contrast or add). Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion suffers from abrupt transitions and punctuation issues that make the flow somewhat choppy and difficult to follow in places, placing it firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, touching upon relevant topics like 'urbanization center', 'public transport', and 'crowded'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling inaccuracies throughout the text, such as 'epoch' used awkwardly, 'towers is very expensive', 'resduces', 'unhealty', and 'pnly'. Less common items are attempted, but spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and occasionally cause slight confusion for the reader. This performance aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors, reflecting a limited but minimally adequate range with persistent errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety. However, grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every individual try', 'apartments high towers is'), missing capitalization and punctuation errors (e.g., lowercase letters at the start of sentences like 'to began with', 'firstly', and 'in conclusion'), and run-on sentences. These frequent errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from reaching a higher band, though basic communication is maintained, supporting a Band 5.0 score.
