Student answer (Band 6.0)
I agree provide to public homes in cities is enough to build tall apartment blocks. Beacuse this is sortage in homes very cruial problems to finding homes or rental room to lives but, build tallest build in cities are most damage environmental pollution then i desagree
One major advantage of tall apartment buildings is that they make efficient use of limited urban land. In densely populated cities, land is often extremely expensive, and there may be little space available for new housing. Constructing buildings with many floors allows thousands of people to live in a relatively small area. For example, cities such as Mumbai and Singapore have developed high-rise residential areas because expanding horizontally would require much more land and infrastructure. In addition, apartment blocks can be located close to public transport, schools and workplaces, which may reduce commuting times and traffic congestion.
However, relying entirely on high-rise buildings can create several problems. Very large apartment complexes may become overcrowded and can put pressure on essential services such as water supply, electricity, roads and public transport. Moreover, some people prefer houses with gardens or access to open spaces, particularly families with young children. If cities focus exclusively on tall buildings, residents may have limited access to green areas and may experience a lower quality of life. Therefore, urban planners should also consider medium-rise apartments, affordable housing developments and suburban communities.
In conclusion, build apartment blocks is best think for peoples in in unity in one site of homes, but taht is not good for locality are and air pollution in and agricultre fields replace through in building or factory.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position on whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide housing, though the stance is somewhat confused by contradictory wording in the introduction and conclusion (e.g., "then i desagree"). The body paragraphs are the strongest part of the essay, presenting well-developed, relevant ideas about land efficiency, infrastructure pressure, and quality of life. Examples such as Mumbai and Singapore effectively support the arguments. While the opening and closing paragraphs feature confused phrasing and underdeveloped counter-arguments, the core task is sufficiently covered. This aligns with a Band 6.0 performance, where the prompt is addressed and relevant ideas are presented, though some elements lack clarity or full development.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement. Information and ideas are logically sequenced between the introduction, well-structured body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the advantages and disadvantages of high-rise buildings. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally faulty and mechanical, particularly in the outer paragraphs where transitions are weak (e.g., "Beacuse this is sortage... then i desagree"). Referencing is not always clear, and some cohesive devices are handled awkwardly. Despite these flaws in micro-cohesion, the macro-organization provides a clear logical progression throughout the text, matching the Band 6.0 descriptors where the essay has a coherent overall structure despite some mechanical cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using topic-specific terms such as "densely populated," "urban land," "infrastructure," "overcrowded," and "urban planners." However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors, particularly in the introduction and conclusion (e.g., "Beacuse," "sortage," "cruial," "tallest build," "agricultre"). While these errors do not severely impede overall communication because the context remains clear, they reflect limitations in lexical control. The attempt to use less common vocabulary is evident, but persistent inaccuracies prevent the score from reaching a higher band. This performance is characteristic of Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an ability to construct subordinate clauses (e.g., "If cities focus exclusively on tall buildings..."). However, the grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. The writing contains frequent basic errors and awkward syntax, especially in the opening and closing remarks (e.g., "I agree provide to public homes...", "build apartment blocks is best think for peoples"). In contrast, the body paragraphs contain better-controlled structures. The errors present do cause occasional strain or misunderstanding, but they do not completely impede communication. This balance of mixed structures and frequent errors corresponds closely to the Band 5.0 descriptor.
