In today's world, in large urban areas is to built the highest apartments to provide enough homes to the individuals. I agree with given statement because it is affordable to own the house and much more facilities are available. This essay will elucidate my opinion in the given statement.
To begin with, people shows more interest in owning the home in apartments in larger cities. The main reason is it is affordable to purchase. Mostly middle class people are more keen to have their own house in urban areas as the rate of the land is too high in todays generation and unable to afford it they directly choose to apartments rather than purchasung the land and constructing according to their need. For instance, people mostly look after the apartments to have their own home as they can afford it.
In addition, another reason is they have facilities. Individuals mainly look into facilities before purchasing such flats in aprtments such as parking area, water supply, current supply and much more because not face any difficulities and have better living condition. To illustrate, people live in apartments give maintainance money to the apartment owner to have such facilities without any disturbance.
Moreover, living in apartments provide a sense of emotional support from neighbours. As the individual living in apartments are near to to their neighbours and they look after their problem and help them if necessary. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the extent of agreement with the statement regarding tall apartment blocks. A clear position is established in the introduction, agreeing that tall buildings offer affordability, facilities, and emotional support. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and relies on generalisations rather than deep exploration. For instance, the arguments regarding affordability and facilities are stated but lack concrete, well-developed examples beyond general references to middle-class needs and utility supplies. Despite these limitations in depth, all parts of the prompt are addressed, aligning the response with Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is arranged into logical paragraphs, with a discernible introduction, three body paragraphs focusing on separate points (affordability, facilities, and emotional support), and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'Moreover' are used to signal transitions between paragraphs, though some referencing and linking are mechanical or repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, ensuring that the overall arrangement remains coherent despite occasional flaws in sentence-level cohesion, which places this aspect solidly at a Band 6 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about housing, facilities, and community support. However, there are notable word-choice errors and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'is to built the highest apartments' (built instead of build), 'purchasung' (spelling error), 'current supply' (electricity or power supply is more appropriate), and 'maintainance' (maintenance). While the writer attempts less common vocabulary, inaccuracies in spelling and word form prevent the response from reaching higher bands, making Band 5.0 the most suitable descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Frequent errors occur in verb forms and sentence structure, such as 'in large urban areas is to built the highest apartments', 'people shows more interest', and 'people live in apartments give maintainance money'. Additionally, missing prepositions and awkward phrasing like 'because not face any difficulities' cause noticeable strain for the reader. Because frequent errors persist and complex structures are often faulty, this performance corresponds to Band 5.0.
