Student answer (Band 5.0)
The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to bulid tall apartment blocks . I agree as much as disagree with above notion . In the forthcoming paragraphs , i have supported my stand with reasonable justifications .
First of all , Taking in to account some agreement side , First and formost is like apartment and tall bulding provide in few budget in accomodation and living space due to increasing land prize. Because nowdays land prize increasing sharply so many people could not afford it and they have dont enough fund for buying new personal home, so apprtment provides in less price in living space . As result , People could save money and its money using for others facilities like children schooling , for future saving and transpotation and healthcare many more.
Now considering some disagreement side, First and foremost is couple of people prefrer to buy for thair personal home and villas due to lack of eminities and and for future investment . Therefore, people who have enough fund and whelthy person ,he always prefrer to buy personal home because main reason its investment for future . For example people who buy new house and land near well develped cities after 10 years later their propraty prize will increasing and aslo this people like prefrer to others eminities like personal playgroung , parking area, swimming pulls and many more.
To agglomerate , in my perpactive like buldings and apprtment provide less money in living space its benificition for them and this people its money spend on thair personal uses and some people buying new housing ratherthan livving in appartment due to lack of eminities and saving and investment for future .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument regarding tall apartment blocks. A position is stated, albeit in a somewhat neutral and hesitant manner using the phrase 'I agree as much as disagree'. The ideas presented in the body paragraphs are relevant, covering financial affordability and personal investment preferences. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the discussion on land prices and savings is restated multiple times without significant extension. While all parts of the task are addressed, the depth of explanation keeps the response within the Band 5 to Band 6 range. Because the arguments are discernible and supported with everyday examples like amenities and children's schooling, a score of 5.5 is appropriate for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, which demonstrates an attempt at a standard essay structure. However, logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak links between sentences. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or excessively, such as 'First of all, Taking in to account some agreement side, First and formost is like...', which detracts from the flow. Referencing is also unclear at times, as seen in phrases like 'its money using for others facilities'. Paragraphing is present, but the overall organization feels disjointed due to the lack of smooth transitions and frequent mechanical errors in cohesion. This aligns closely with the Band 5 descriptors, where some organization is evident but overall progression lacks clarity.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource displayed is limited and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice and spelling throughout the text. Examples include 'bulid' instead of build, 'prize' instead of price, 'apprtment', 'prefrer', 'whelthy', 'benificition', and 'perpactive'. The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'amenities', 'investment', and 'accommodations', but these attempts are frequently marred by spelling mistakes and awkward collocations (e.g., 'provide in few budget in accomodation'). While the vocabulary used is minimally adequate to convey the basic message, the frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the score to a Band 4.5, which rounds to a Band 5 based on standard reporting increments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and prepositions throughout the response. Examples include 'land prize increasing sharply so many people could not afford it and they have dont enough fund', 'he always prefrer to buy', and 'after 10 years later their propraty prize will increasing'. Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces incorrectly placed before commas and periods. Complex structures are frequently faulty and cause strain for the reader. These features reflect the characteristics of Band 4 grammar, where errors are frequent and often distort meaning, though basic communication is still achieved.
