Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argue that build tall apartment blocks in large cities to provide enough homes for people to live in large area. where some may have different view in this issuse. I strongly agree with this opinion. This is because it helps to grow city economy and provide jobs or oppurtunities.
The primary resion why i agree with this build tall bulding in large citiy helps to improve there life style and economy. This is maily because when people live in large area thay have funds to spend to live. In other words, they perchase new products to live in large city so city get funds and provide better economy and build roads. For instance, when people move one place to other place thay so first accomodaction and then buy their daily needs. As a result, cities improve thrie roads and bulild new lagre and tall house.
The another significant point is that public get more jobs and oppurtunities. The primary resion i that when area devloped then people get more jobs. Forthmore, in large cities people move to tall apartment blocks then find jobs nearby home. For example, new area developed then new jobs and oppourrtunities where build and people get that offer and move to that apartument. Therefore, build apartment in large area become to developed there people.
In conclustion, although there are some drowbacks that area become not development, so it helps to grow city economy and provide jobs or oppurtunities. As per my thought i agree with this view and it improve over economiy

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position agreeing with the statement that building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide homes in large cities. The writer attempts to support this position by linking high-rise buildings to economic growth, job creation, and improved living standards. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack logical elaboration. For instance, the argument that living in a large area leads to funds for spending and road building is vague and repetitive. The conclusion is also somewhat contradictory, mentioning drawbacks despite taking a firmly positive stance. The task is addressed, but the development remains basic, aligning well with the Band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which shows an attempt at structural organisation. However, the overall progression is weak and confused by frequent repetition and unclear referencing. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'The primary resion why i agree with this build tall bulding' and 'The another significant point'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion fails to guide the reader smoothly through the arguments. Pronoun referencing is often ambiguous, making it difficult to determine what terms like 'they' and 'there' refer to in several sentences. This places the response solidly in the Band 4.5 to 5.0 range.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling mistakes that impede communication ('resion', 'perchase', 'thrie', 'drowbacks', 'economiy'). Basic terms are often misused or awkwardly formed, such as 'tall house' and 'area devloped'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary like 'opportunities' and 'accomodation', these attempts are consistently marred by spelling errors and incorrect word forms ('oppurtunities', 'oppourrtunities'). The range is minimally adequate for expressing basic thoughts, but the density of lexical errors restricts the score to a Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences are frequently faulty, and attempts at complex sentences result in severe structural errors and incomprehensible clauses, such as 'It is often argue that build tall apartment blocks in large cities to provide enough homes for people to live in large area.' Punctuation is largely neglected, and basic subject-verb agreement is frequently violated. Errors occur in almost every sentence and frequently distort meaning, making it challenging for the reader to follow the intended message. This reflects the criteria for Band 4.0.
