Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The candidate addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear, albeit partially developed, position ("i partly agree with the statement"). Main ideas are introduced regarding space utilisation and public facilities, along with the counter-arguments concerning maintenance costs and infrastructural strain. However, some ideas lack full extension and suffer from generalisation. For example, the mention of sanitary and electricity functioning failing due to heavy use is relevant, but remains somewhat brief. The overall response covers the prompt adequately, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The text demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, moving logically from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing benefits and drawbacks, and concluding with a summary. Cohesive devices are used, such as "To begin with", "To elaborate", and "on the otherhand", though referencing and cohesion can occasionally feel mechanical or awkward. For instance, sentences like "Another positive side is people can socialize with each other by leaving closely" exhibit errors in cohesion and referencing. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, placing the response firmly at a Band 6.0 level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, attempting less common items such as "densely populated", "infrastructure", and "centralised". However, there are numerous spelling errors and inaccurate word choices throughout the text, including "appartments", "utlise", "remaing", "leaving" (instead of living), "enchane", "charistmas", and "maintainance". While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score. The range is minimally sufficient to convey the intended meaning, representing a solid Band 5.5 performance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The candidate attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional-like structures. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are numerous basic errors involving subject-verb agreement, capitalization, and punctuation, such as "high rise building appartments are", "i partly agree", "tall building always require", and "These building has been constructed". Punctuation and article use are also frequently faulty. Because errors occur consistently and can occasionally cause minor difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance aligns best with Band 5.0.
