Student answer (Band 5.0)
The perfect way to give enough houses in big cites is create high range apartment plot for residence. In this condition, I partly agree with this view because of tall apartment have too much plot that hold people in a large ammount with a limited space. Another reason why I agree with this statement is it is not only budget friendly but also everyone can buy easily and the view from their window or rooftop they got is increadibly amazing that cannot give by money or other else.
First of all nowdays population has increasing day by day through there is lack of living space for those people. If there build tall appartment in big cities then people live easily without any kind of distract. Because of todays they need more space but space is limited so we try to create tall appartment for them that they can stay there. As a result, no need more space moreover it is a good attempt to solve this problem. For example, in our country we can see that the residential area has a lot off high range building and there stay thousand people together in a small space.
Second of all, making a house need a good ammount money that anyone cannot bear. Because of the equipment of making home is very expencive. As a result, people saves their money from making a home. Moreover, they can lead a perfect life with their living area. There is lot of benefit for example, the view from high building window or rooftop is very eye catching that anyone praise it. However, there is less sound and distract from surounding.
Ultimately, the proper way to provide homes in big cities is to create high apartment blocks. And these have many benefit for local people. And I largely agree with this point for best way to live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The student addresses the task by stating a clear position of agreement regarding tall apartment blocks. The response contains relevant ideas, such as space-saving benefits, cost-effectiveness, and lifestyle aspects like views and quietness. However, the development of these ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the points regarding limited space and high-rise living are restated across multiple paragraphs without deep extension or varied examples (mentioning 'our country' vaguely). The conclusion also restates the initial stance rather than synthesising points. This falls under Band 5 or 6, but because all parts of the prompt are addressed with a clear position and supporting ideas, it sits comfortably at Band 5.5 to 6.0. Given the repetition and under-development of supporting details, a band score of 5.5 is appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing basic paragraphing structure. Logical connectors such as 'First of all', 'Second of all', and 'Ultimately' are used to signpost the progression of ideas, though they feel somewhat mechanical. Referencing and cohesion are frequently faulty throughout the text. For example, expressions like 'In this condition' and 'Because of todays' create awkward transitions and make the relationships between ideas unclear at times. Paragraphs lack smooth internal flow due to fragmented sentence structures and repetitive phrasing. While an overall framework exists, the mechanical and sometimes inaccurate use of cohesive devices points directly to a Band 5.0 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate to the topic, such as 'residential area', 'budget friendly', and 'eye catching'. However, there are frequent word-choice errors, odd collocations, and spelling mistakes (e.g., 'cites' instead of cities, 'ammount' instead of amount, 'expencive' instead of expensive, 'surounding' instead of surrounding). Words are often misused grammatically or contextually, such as 'high range apartment plot' or 'that cannot give by money'. The lexical range is limited and basic, and errors often strain the reader's comprehension. This performance aligns with the Band 5 descriptor for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and flawed attempts at complex clauses. There are persistent and frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('tall apartment have', 'population has increasing'), incorrect verb forms ('If there build', 'making a house need'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also basic. These errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and obscure meaning. Because simple structures contain errors and attempts at complex structures are consistently faulty, the writing matches the Band 4.5 to 5.0 descriptors, earning a 5.0.
